Recently stayed at the Ivy Lodge and found it enjoyable. Clean, comfortable room and bath, fresh fruit and granola offered with the delicious breakfast and gracious hosts. The location was close to the many attractions Newport offers.

I had always wanted to visit Newport. I found the Ivy Lodge by accident online. I was lucky to get a room for my husband and I since other places I found were all ready booked up. I was very pleased with how beautiful this old Victorian home is. Don and Jackie are the new owners of this B&B. They... More

Our family, including our three teens, stayed at the Ivy Lodge for three nights last week. Our kids stayed in the Satterlee Suite which allowed our son to have his own little room away from our girls, and we had the Savannah Room directly above our kids. This lodge is a beautiful old mansion in it's own right. It is... More

We recently stayed at Ivy Lodge and very happy that we did. Don and his charming wife are new to the hospitality industry but seem very well suited. The room we occupied was most charming and quiet, the whole house is a gem of craftsmanship . The location for visiting the incredible mansions of Bellvue Avenue could not be better. My... More

The Ivy Lodge was a splurge for us before a long weekend on Block Island. This was our first American B&B. The house itself is stunning and imposing from the yard, the foyer is amazing with the woodwork and the rooms are classic B&B with plush bedding and rich finishes. The assistant innkeeper checked us in and gave us a... More

We spent a night at this location. We can't wait to go back. It is a very nice old mansion 15 minutes walks from downtown. The host is very kind and very nice. They just bought the property but already know everything about Newport. He was able to tell us everything we needed for our stay in the city. The... More

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We appreciate constructive feedback, and take it very seriously. It is the best way for us to get better, and improve the Inn. While we thought the WIFI upgrades made in May (cable speed and Router) resulted in strong WIFI throughout the Inn, it is clear now that it did not. The Ivy Lodge... More

A few blocks off one of the main roads in Newport, the Ivy Lodge is a perfect retreat. From the lodge, it is a short walk to several top restaurants, and to the nearby mansions. The lodge owners have discount mansion tour tickets which is helpful. We walked the full distance to both the Breakers and Marblehead. The Elms is... More

My wife and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Ivy Lodge last week. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent - within walking distance of restaurants and the Cliff Walk. The breakfasts were delicious! We were very impressed overall. Thanks Don!

We spent 2 nights at The Ivy Lodge June 6 to 8 and we like it very much. The outlook of the property is very appealing too. Our family of 4 stayed at the Satterlee Suite and it was really cosy and nice. I also enjoyed sitting in the terrace area on the rocking chair. The owner Don and Jackie... More

Owners Don & Jackie have done a terrific job restoring and maintaining this delightful place, just steps from the Breakers, Chateau sur Mer, Rosecliff and other mansions which you mustn't miss. See Gilded Age capitalism at its most excessive. Our family of 4 stayed in the 2-room Satterlee Suite, with a trundle-bed pull-out for the kids. The place is full... More
