My wife and I have been frequenting the Ivy Lodge for several years, visiting in all seasons. We love this place. It's well maintained. The staff is incredible and the amenities rock. Breakfast is fantastic. We are especially impressed with the new in keepers! After 15 years of being run by the same couple, Don and his wife have come... More

This location is a delightful deluge of dramatic stairwell, interesting nooks and crannies and thoroughly cleaned - well appointed guest rooms. The AM has an offering of breakfast - a unique hot item prepared to order and other offerings. Only comment is that the selection of baked goods was a bit slim and not replenished regularly through the breakfast period.... More

This husband and wife team has it all right. The location is ideal. My husband and I stayed in the pines room which was delightfully cozy. This 3rd floor room offered a wonderful view of the magnificent foyer when climbing the stairs to reach our room. The appreciation for the architecture of the space made the journey seem effortless. The... More

My husband and I spent Thanksgiving at the Ivy Lodge and just loved it! From the wonderful kingsize bed, great bedding and large bathroom - we really enjoyed being in the room! The fireplace and large flat room TV made it fun to watch football after our Thanksgiving meal! Breakfast was superb - hot pumpkin pancakes with turkey sausage were... More

Stayed here in November 2014. My wife and I have stayed at several B&Bs over the past few years, and despite this being an older home, it was VERY quiet. We stayed in the Magnolia room on the 3rd floor. It might be difficult to access for some who don't do well with stairs, but was fine for us. The... More

We truly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Ivy Lodge. The owners were friendly, welcoming and helpful! We loved our room! Very comfortable and warm! Breakfast was fantastic! Best pancakes I've ever had! We also purchased our tickets for the mansions' tour from them at a discounted rate which was nice.

I have been staying at the Ivy Lodge during my annual summer visits to Newport since 2010. It is truly one of the most beautiful houses in America and the location cannot be beat! However...one of my stays there was very uncomfortable in 2012, the former owner, Darrell made me feel quite unwelcome and treated me with a condescension that... More

We recently spent two nights at the lovely Ivy Lodge with out-of-town friends. Both of our rooms were beautiful and comfortable—the perfect mix of old and new—and immaculately clean. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. They cooked and served delicious breakfasts each morning and were happy to accommodate changes to their menu. Snacks and beverages were available day and night,... Partner and I spent a night here between NY and Boston. Room was clean and comfortable, hosts were friendly, breakfast was quite nice and the location was great for exploring the mansions and doing the cliff walk. Would stay here again if in the area.

This is a beautiful place. Large, 20,000 square feet!! But felt intimate. The Inn Keepers, were delightful. New to Inn Keeping, but proficient. The porches were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and there was easy access to snacks/tea, etc. There were a couple of different living areas to spend time. Only wish we would have been able to stay a couple more... More
