The staff and accommodations were incredible. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful with any information we needed and the rooms were beautiful and clean. This bed and breakfast was within walking distance of the mansions and the main street, Thames. My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay and would love to visit again.

Great location, lovely inside and out, excellent breakfast and snacks all day long. Newport is a fantastic town and this B&B is in the heart of everything without being too close to traffic and noise. It was a short walk to several of the mansions and the cliff walk. What a fantastic place to stay and at a very reasonable... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ivy Lodge for 4-nights and we both had an incredible experience. For starters the lodge is run by Don and Jackie who are both friendly and welcoming. Before booking our trip, we called to discuss our food allergies and they assured us it would be no problem and it wasn't. Each morning they... More

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Ivy Lodge, which was ideally situated for exploring the historic mansions. Next door to Chepstow, practically across the street from The Elms, a 10-min walk to the "forty steps" and Cliff Walk, and a 10-min walk in the other direction to Thames Street for some good restaurants. The Lodge itself is... More

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 12 and 15. My wife and I have been to Newport but not the kids. We were completely satisfied with the Ivy Lodge from beginning to end. The location is a quick walk from some of the Mansions (the Lodge offered discounted tickets), and not a far walk from shopping... More

Immaculately clean suite. I had the Saterlee room that has a separate room with trouble beds for the kids. The bathroom was spacious, as was the master room. We walked from here to several of the mansions, cliff walk and shops and restaurants. It's in a great location yet surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was good.

Had a wonderful stay at The Ivy. Our room was beautiful and impeccable, breakfast was great! So far, my favorite place to stay. Try going off season for a nice reduction in rates but still a great experience. The innkeepers could be a little more personable, but this inn is a winner!

What a great place to stay. Don was friendly, informative and would go out of his way to please everyone. His recommendations on restaurants and attractions were spot on. a great getaway to relax or explore as much as you wanted. Everything was pretty much in walking distance so we were able to explore and exercise at same time. We... More

We spent three nights at the Ivy Lodge when we visited Newport to see the start of Leg 7 of the Volvo Ocean Race. The Lodge is a short walk from both the harbor with its many attractions and the famous cliff walk. We took advantage of both of these. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and immaculate and the breakfasts... More

Spent a weekend in late February at the Ivy Lodge in the Pine room, very beautiful B&B, we spent time down stairs in the living room, brought our own drinks & cheese and crackers and sat around the fireplace. The room was nice, but if I was to go again I would book the Trunk room. the breakfast was fantastic... More
