There's nothing better than touring the Newport Mansions and then coming back to your own mini mansion experience. We picked a room on the top floor because, HAD we lived during the Gilded Age, we would have been servants. The room was great, complete with fireplace, skylight and jetted tub. I could get used to living as a servant with... More

Ivy lodge is reminiscent of the mansions in the Newport area. Although they say it is walking distance to the mansions, I would take a car and try to find parking nearby. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. They are quite historic so the owners are quite particular about the house. The bathroom was spacious. The breakfast was delicious. It's... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Ivy Lodge 6 or 7 times and we love it. It is a beautiful setting; each room is different and elegantly furnished. Its a short walk to The Cliff Walk and several of the Mansions. Also important to us;its quiet -which is not always easy to find in Newport. The breakfast is... More

What an excellent place. The woodwork and decorations was amazing, the Turret Room with its fireplace and furnishings was the best. An excellent breakfast with first class personnel. It is within walking distance to Cliff Walk and the mansions.

While we only live a couple of hours away, we were looking for a romantic, cozy place to celebrate our recent wedding anniversary. SO glad we found the Ivy Lodge! First of all, we were excited to see the holiday decorations were still in place...they made a beautiful house even more beautiful and festive! We stayed in the Van Allen... More

Place very clean beautiful building and grounds . How ever after you pay for the room you need to take a loan to do anything. Not for your average couple who work for a living. I have stayed at some very nice places even in other states for a lot less money. I guess if you don't care what you... More

Thank you for rating us with high-marks, we appreciate the recognition. There are so many things to do in Newport, but most do factor a cost, to maintain properties and attractions on and around this island is very expensive. Ivy Lodge does include nice things with your stay, full gourmet breakfast, seasonal snacks and beverage throughout the day, off street... More

My husband and I came down from Vermont for 2 nights post-Christmas and felt like our stay at the Ivy Lodge was another beautifully wrapped present! I had especially wanted to see the three mansions that are decorated for the holidays (the Breakers, Elms and Marble House) plus do the Cliff Walk, so it was great to be in such... More

Thank you for all the nice things you had to say about our property, it's location and Newport. We are pleased you enjoyed the Inn and the decorations, we love decking our halls for you. I did need to look-up the expression boxing day and found the expression/tradition delightful, one we participate in, only on Christmas day. We look forward... More

Highly recommend this B&B when staying in Newport. We are not typically comfortable in this type of lodging as previously we have felt that we are staying in someone's home and that can be a little too close for comfort for us. Instead, this lodge is very spacious from its grand front foyer looking up 3 stories, staircase and fireplace... More

Stay here every so often when in Newport. The building is LOVELY. The wood throughout gives a warm feel and there is plenty of space to relax when you don't want to be in your room. Only suggestions (and now the second time with the same experience)... if you are serving something with "runny eggs" in it -- check with... More

We stayed at the Ivy Lodge Veterans Day weekend. The inn keeper was friendly and had lots of information on the area attractions. Everyone on staff was great, breakfast was really well done, plenty of offerings to please most palates. Our room was great, it felt private and we didn't hear other guests. The room had a fridge which was... More
