We are a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 12 and 15. My wife and I have been to Newport but not the kids. We were completely satisfied with the Ivy Lodge from beginning to end. The location is a quick walk from some of the Mansions (the Lodge offered discounted tickets), and not a far walk from shopping... More

Immaculately clean suite. I had the Saterlee room that has a separate room with trouble beds for the kids. The bathroom was spacious, as was the master room. We walked from here to several of the mansions, cliff walk and shops and restaurants. It's in a great location yet surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was good.

Had a wonderful stay at The Ivy. Our room was beautiful and impeccable, breakfast was great! So far, my favorite place to stay. Try going off season for a nice reduction in rates but still a great experience. The innkeepers could be a little more personable, but this inn is a winner!

What a great place to stay. Don was friendly, informative and would go out of his way to please everyone. His recommendations on restaurants and attractions were spot on. a great getaway to relax or explore as much as you wanted. Everything was pretty much in walking distance so we were able to explore and exercise at same time. We... More

We spent three nights at the Ivy Lodge when we visited Newport to see the start of Leg 7 of the Volvo Ocean Race. The Lodge is a short walk from both the harbor with its many attractions and the famous cliff walk. We took advantage of both of these. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and immaculate and the breakfasts... More

Spent a weekend in late February at the Ivy Lodge in the Pine room, very beautiful B&B, we spent time down stairs in the living room, brought our own drinks & cheese and crackers and sat around the fireplace. The room was nice, but if I was to go again I would book the Trunk room. the breakfast was fantastic... More

In a quest for a break before the baby comes, my wife and I departed our Boston area home for the far flung shores of....Newport, Rhode Island. This was a perfect time and setting for us New Englanders not apt to climb aboard a flight to the tropics but stroll in the chilled air along the salty fantasyland of Bellevue... More

Stayed at the Ivy Lodge for 2 nights during one of the winter snowstorms - what a beautiful place to relax and warm up! Owners Don & Jacqui were friendly and accommodating. The inn has it's own private parking lot - very convenient. The gorgeous entryway led us to our second floor room - the Turret Room - which had... More

My wife and I have been frequenting the Ivy Lodge for several years, visiting in all seasons. We love this place. It's well maintained. The staff is incredible and the amenities rock. Breakfast is fantastic. We are especially impressed with the new in keepers! After 15 years of being run by the same couple, Don and his wife have come... More

This location is a delightful deluge of dramatic stairwell, interesting nooks and crannies and thoroughly cleaned - well appointed guest rooms. The AM has an offering of breakfast - a unique hot item prepared to order and other offerings. Only comment is that the selection of baked goods was a bit slim and not replenished regularly through the breakfast period.... More
