This hotel is in a good location but there are several things wrong. First, it's extremely noisy. Between the motocycles and cars along the street, there's a ton of noise. Secondly, we were sold a parking pass to the lot across the street when we checked in and were led to believe we could come and go as we pleased... more

This is a classic case of BUYER BEWARE. When I called to book the reservation, they told me they only had one room left-- the most expensive room in the house-- a suite with a kitchenette that is used as a time share. They also told me they had pool passes to the Marriott across the street. Since it was... more

I bought a gift certificate for my boyfriend here as I walked along Thames it looked like an inviting place with a location that doesn't get much better. We just spent a night there and it was nice enough. You do have to walk upstairs to get to your room, so that may be a problem for some and parking... more

Upon arriving at the Inn we were told the suite we had confirmed reservations for was already taken. The options we were given were to switch rooms every night, find another hotel, or take a smaller room at a 15% saving. We took the smaller room. It was a very tiny room with just enough room for a king bed,... more

We booked the whole Inn for a marriage retreat by our church. We had a wonderful time. Each room is unique and offer great accomodations. The staff are so helpful and go out of their way to serve you. Breakfast was very nice each morning. This is a great choice, can walk to everything in Newport. We will definitely go... more

We made the mistake of ignoring one of the ratings for this hotel in favorable of the more positive ones. WHAT A MISTAKE. We were told afterwards that sometimes hotels in this area write their own reviews... I want to begin by warning anyone who reads this to please try a different hotel. We were completely fooled by the wonderful... more

We stayed there for 2 nights with our 11-mo old son. The location could not be better - you are close to everything (restaurants, shops, harbour, etc). The Inn itself shows it's age, the decor is old. Rooms are pretty small as well as their bathrooms but some rooms have great view. Beds are not so great. Front desk can... more

We had a great visit at the America's Cup Inn. The location is perfect, in the middle of downtown, across from the harbor. Staff was gracious and friendly, really outstanding. Helped with family activities suggestions, arrangements, and comfort. New owners last year (I think) have done extensive renovations and redecorating so the rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable. Previous comments... more

Could be a nice place, if the owner / management took the time to care for it. Soft Rock radio piping through the lobby seems out of place for the quaint building and location. In the lobby, employees are sometimes chatting and smoking! Holes in the walls, peeling wallpaper, drippy faucets, breakfast left a lot to be desired. They tout... more
