If you are an Americas Cup fan, as I am, and expect an AC-themed inn, you will be sadly disappointed. I have no idea how they managed to get permission to use the Americas Cup in their name and logo, but this is a dark, cramped and ancient hotel. The room we stayed in was number 203. It was barely... The trouble with leaving reviews sometimes is that you get to see those already written, and this can have an influence on your own if you're not careful. There are many slightly negative reviews that I've seen here and elsewhere for this Inn - but I'm going to try and remain unbiased. If you're the kind of person that likes... More

I took my daughter on a girl weekend trip on Aug 09 & 10, 2014. The America's Cup Inn was an awesome place for us to stay. It is in a GREAT location, we never had to move our car! The room was spacious and the breakfast was outstanding! The staff was friendly and informative about the area. I'll stay... More

We have been going to Newport for over 20 years. The hotels have become very pricey, but we always like to stay downtown. America's Cup Inn was perfect. Centrally located and you could walk to everything. The atmosphere was historic and homey. The rooms had character and were very clean. Free breakfast was delicious, with pancakes, prosciutto, fresh fruit, and... More

Stayed in 2 room (with kitchen) pet-friendly apartment. Positives: really friendly, helpful staff; Overall very clean, spacious and cool, with room A/C. Great towels. Excellent location, near park and walking distance to bars and restaurants. Minuses: bed/pillows could do with an update; tub drain gets blocked. Guarunteed parking isn't a given if you arrive at a busy time; it's a... More

This is an average B&B situated in the heart of Newport, Rhode Island. I stayed for a night in one of the rooms and I must say it was 'just ok'. The room size was comfortable and clean although it did have a dusty smell to it and the bathroom was a couple of steps up from camping. However let... More

This was a perfect location for our first time in Newport. This is a small B&B within walking distance from everything. They had a continental breakfast in the morning made by the wonderful ladies in the kitchen. My boyfriend is very tall and had to duck in doorways, but this place didn't break the bank! Would definitely stay again!

Booked this on a last minute trip to newport. The location is absolutely perfect, as it's located in the heart of downtown, where there's great shopping, restaurants and bars. The inn was dated, but that was charming. The rooms were dated and small, but clean and beds were comfortable. Stand-up stall shower was tiny. Bathroom sink was located in the... More

Stayed here for a night and was very pleasantly surprised. The inn itself was a little dated but that added to its charm. The front desk staff were very nice and welcoming. The room was spacious with nice big windows and a decent bathroom. The shower couldve been a little nicer. The bed was comfy and the AC was more... More

Stayed here recently based on a recommendation from my brother Stan and was a great experience. The location was absolutely perfect with lots of great nearby shops and restaurants. I had some excellent crab legs at one of the places (forgot the name!). Only drawback was having to pay to park, but with what we were already paying for the... More
