Helpful staff & lovely-Lady-owner... but make no mistake about it... you're visiting someone home... a grand, large, wonderful and eerie place that is like a Night(s) at the Museum. The view is ideal and the back porch beckons you to just sit and chill. The house and my room were filled with all manner of "tchotchkes" , curios, geegaws, souvenirs,... More

The views are spectacular. The management pleasant, informative, and efficient. The rooms, charming and beautifully appointed. The heated salt water pool was an amazing and a pleasant surprise. Oh, and the breakfast muffins were to die for! In short, this is one lovely BnB. Do come and enjoy.

They bait and switched our room. Gave us a hard time for 2 parking passes. And made us stay in the basement with a shared bathroom next to the laundry room for an absurd price. Go for the views. But be careful what you're agreeing to. Also breakfast is weak- some granola and a few bowls of fruit that isn't... More

As far as a B&B I feel that this place was adequate in terms of comfort. The front porch, views of the Harbor and friendly staff made up for any of the complaints I read about. It was a beautiful period home. Decor was not my style but I was only a visitor! I did not have mold in the... More

We found this B@B at the visitors center and what a find, I would not stay anywhere else, I don't know how we got this lucky. The view has got to be the best in Newport and we loved the porch it went all the way around. The Inn keepers were wonderful. The rooms were so authentic to the era... More

Yes the house needs some work, and yes it is cluttered, BUT, the woodwork, and décor is amazing. I would rather have more space in the room, but it worked. Now, one of the BEST amenities was the saltwater pool that was heated to just the right temps. I don't want bath water when I am swimming. There is also... More

The Sanford-Covell Villa Marina is a beautiful classic bed and breakfast inn. The ornate Victorian architecture is wonderful. Despite the multitude of knickknacks and ornate furniture, everything seemed reasonably clean and fresh smelling. The bed was very comfortable (We stayed in the Covell Room which had incredible harbor views, full of sailboats). The room size was generous. The bathroom was... More

This is an attractive mid 19th century mansion on the water in a gorgeous neighborhood in Newport. Pay close attention to the woodwork and the decorative painting in the rooms. Very convenient. Nice salt-water pool. It is lined in some dark stone, making it hard to see the bottom. The pool is set in a pretty lawn with flowering roses... More

We just finished a 4 might stay and were pleasantly surprised! Have not stayed in a B&B for many years! The owner & staff were friendly & helpful, our king bed on 3rd floor was great, bathroom was adequate. Home was built in 1870, so yes it was old. But this definitely added to the charm! The big draw for... More

Location is awesome.. Right on the water with a gorgeous view We came for a weekend with 10 friends to bike and hike. The owners were very nice and helpful. Beautiful home but Only comment was that there is a lot of clocks and knicknacks around. Also the breakfast could have been more substantial got the money we paid
