The Mill Street Inn was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect to walk to town. The breakfast on the roof deck was great. A room that accommodates three isn't easy to find in Newport.

My wife and I went to a wedding in Newport and chose Mill Street Inn because we're not big fans of the Victorian house, rickety four-poster bed type of lodging. MSI met our requirements perfectly. Like a renovated red-brick loft building, the rooms and bathrooms were modern, large and clean. Exposed brick on the walls. Not a ton of closet... More

The Mill Street Inn was a 19th century mill transformed into a contemporary, comfortable, quiet Inn in the Historic Hill area of Newport. It is surrounded by many great restaurants, shops and tourist destinations. We walked to the mansions everyday. The staff, location and breakfast are amazing. We visited in April which was a perfect time as there were no... More

We spent one night in this hotel, well-located in a quiet district near every activities, shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Don't miss the wonderful rooftop for a great moment for breakfast. Our room was really great, with a private terrace, a fireplace and a living-room area.

This inn is very well situated in Newport - close to the water but also off the beaten track enough to be quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed having the extra room that the suite provided. The inn does need some cleaning as the carpets are a bit stained and there were small bits of paper and trash on the floor... More

The Mill Street Inn is located away from the busy heart of Newport but still within walking distance of all of the main attractions. The location is definitely one of the biggest plus points of this property. It is a 3-star property but it is a little worn-out and run down looking. We really did not have much interaction with... The location near to the harbor and historic district is good. The facility is OK with rooms on two levels, bedroom on the upper level with walk-out balcony and partial view of the harbor (some rooms). Roof deck for breakfast is nice on good weather days. The facility is getting a bit tired although not "worn-out", does need some maintenance.... More

Every member of the staff took the time to get to know us and make sure we felt comfortable at all times. The little things that this hotel does to give your stay a personal touch, made this quick trip one of the most amazing hotels that we have ever experienced.

This was a first-rate hotel experience. The hotel is clean, well-appointed, has a very pleasant staff, and is well-located. It offers some very nice amenities such as afternoon tea and an exceptional buffet breakfast. It is located on a quiet street but close to the better part of Newport for dining and shopping. The room and bathroom were well-designed and... More

My husband and I took our daughter, a recent college grad, here for a short vacation before starting her life in the real world. This Inn is located within a mile or two of the historic Mansions, so you could walk there, but we drove; most have free parking. The hotel is also just a short walk away from the... More
