The Mill Street Inn had more comforts than home! It was an absolutly fantastic hotel. It was extremely clean and comfortable! We had the townhouse suite and it was fabulous! Very spacious and "homey" with incredible views! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the bathroom besides its cleanliness was spacious and spa like. It was simple but... more

I recently stayed there for a minihoneymoon. I told the reservations desk why I was there before I arrived, it would have been nice to have a note and/or cookie/champagne left in our room to congratulate us. The location is perfect and free parking is a plus. The looby was awesome and it is a historic building. The second floor deck... more

We booked this place based on mostly positive reviews for Columbus Day weekend 2009. The location was really great. Walking distance to everything. Everything else was disappointing. On the way to our room, we noticed that the carpets needed to be vacuumed. We stayed in a Superior Suite on the ground floor. When booking, I told the receptionist that we... more

Terrible service, understaffed and lacking customer service skills. Had to ask for towels 3 times before getting them ourselves. Room was a two story town-house suite for $380 a night. It was small, dark, really poorly lit, we actually laughed out loud at the lack of lighting. Rugs were stained, walls had dirty smudges, screen to balcony (nice view) was... more

The only positive with this hotel is it's location. I kept thinking that it felt like we were staying in a college dorm. The room was dirty, the furniture and finishes were cheap, the airconditioner was so loud that we couldn't use it. We stayed for two nights and left Newport exhausted because we didn't sleep well. If I had... more

I have stayed over 20 nights this year at Mill St. Inn. The staff looks out for the guests and their needs. The view from the rooftop breakfast deck is incredible. Breakfast is perfect and includes generous portions of home squeezed OJ and raisin toast, my two favorites. The suites have large sitting rooms with a flat screen. The beds... more

My husband and I love Newport, and had a chance to take a quick break there last week. We love staying in places with character and don't mind paying more for quality. The Mill St. Inn however is lacking in quality. We booked a townhouse suite because we were traveling with 3 adults and one infant. First, the negatives; When... more

Our trip to Newport was great. Hot but well worth it. We decided to stay at the Mill Street Inn because friends had recommended it to us. Upon our arrival it was ok when when we checked in. The guy at desk was ok, he was kind of not really into checking us in as it seemed he was preoccupied... more
