Quiet, comfortable and convenient. Excellent location. Close to great restaurants and shopping. Very short ride to the Mansions if that is an interest. The breakfast (buffet style) is outstanding. The rooms are unique with exposed brick walls and high ceilings with ceiling fans. Free parking is a real plus. My husband and I have stayed here twice and will do... More

We had the pleasure of staying here last night ( 12-16-2014) and found it to be a wonderful experience. We found the staff to be very friendly and informative. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The parking was free. The location was two blocks from the main street. The breakfast was much more than a continental breakfast. It had... More

Arrived relatively late on biz travel. The night desk agent was sharp, and she suggested was ended up being the perfect nearby late night dining venue given my description of what I sought. Room 102 was exquisite with vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls, and many layers of cozy curtains, throws, blankets, pillows, quality shampoo (rare!), a complimentary healthy snack and... More

We like the quaintness of this little inn, with modern insides. We've stayed here before, and we'll be back again. You can't beat the location (a block and a half from Bannister/Bowen Wharfs, as well as the Newport Art Museum, close to shopping), and the quiet. Every room is a "suite" though the smaller ones have an open floor plan... More

We had a lovely time at Mill Street Inn. It is a beautifully renovated, modern space. Our room was very spacious- with it's own living room with full dining table. It was a lot bigger than we expected for the price! The staff was warm and helpful and the breakfast was great. I would highly recommend the Mill Street Inn.... More

This old historic building has be very nicely renovated and updated to a quaint Inn with all suites. I will stay here again and so should you. Right in the heart of Newport near shopping and attractions. We visited about a week after peak season so a few shops were closed and it rained a bit, but the Inn was... More

Considering this building is on the National Register of Historic Buildings and dates back to the early 1880s, they've done their best to make most of the public spaces look like something more suitable to a Travelodge. Unless there is some reason behind this, I cannot imagine what the management were thinking when deciding to give this historic building a... More

The Mill Street Inn is a small boutique hotel just up the hill from the center of activity in Newport, RI. Wonderful staff and great continental breakfast. Room was very comfortable with quality towels and linens. The roof deck overlooking the town is an added bonus. We shared a bottle of wine while watching the sun set. And free wi-fi,... More

Our first Visit to Newport! Such a Neat town and a very nice Inn! Friendly staff, very clean! Unique rooms. And best of all quiet. It was our 25th anniversary trip. The only suggestion I will make and this goes for anywhere people stay is to serve really good coffee. We find most places do not. That would be a... More

Initially put off when the hotel quoted a price over the phone and I called back 10 minutes later to book it only to be told it was a mistake and they wouldn't honor it, I spoke (rather, argued) with the manager who finally acquiesced and honored the rate that was first provided. Once over that speed bump, the hotel... More
