We chose the Mill Street Inn for one reason only; it's modern decor. It is the only hotel in the area without the overused Victorian style. As we were trying to avoid the endless sea of doilies, we landed here at Mill Street. We were greeted by friendly staff, and we were given our key (no offer to carry luggage).... more

Our group (my sister and I and an aunt visiting from overseas) stayed at the Mill Street Inn recently. We book at the "last minute rate" but the total for two nights was close to $600 anyway. Upon arriving we were greeted and offered help getting our bags upstairs. We were also told we'd have turn down service on the... more

I recently returned from our annual business meeting which was held at the Mill Street Inn this year. The Inn is beautiful and is located in an ideal spot. The staff were extremely accommodating and everything was perfect. We held our meetings on site and all the rooms were very large and clean with luxury items for us to use,... more

Mill Street Inn is an all suite inn that serves an expanded continental breakfast each morning. (Breakfast is served on the lower level; in nice weather it is served on the outdoor deck with a view of the harbor.) It is within walking distance of all the shopping that both Thames and Bellevue Streets have to offer. Yet, it is... more

This was a Nice Inn, When we first entered our room we were a bit disapointed, it seemed smaller than expected for a "suite", But it was perfect for my husband and I. The bathroom was a bit small but had great soaps, shampoo and shower cap. Bathrobes were also available in our room along with a blowdryer. The bed... more

I was looking for a small, clean hotel for a romantic weekend with my beau and the Mill Street Inn was a perfect choice. I called the hotel directly and was able to book one night instead of the mandatory two for summer weekends as stated on their website. It is very difficult to park for free in Newport, so... more

Very disappointing I am afraid. Advertised as having a handicapped accessible room ~ but it is not. There is an almost 4 inch lip to get in the side door and they have no portable ramp. Accessible room does have a walk in shower with 2 grab bars; but no bars around the raised toilet. No shower bench. Bedroom door... more

Our Daughter was married last week on Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth-our family and friends stayed at the Mill Street Inn-It was perfect. The staff was very helpful in every way. Mill Street was being dug up on her wedding day-the staff at the Inn made sure the construction vehicles were out of the way before the Limo arrived and... more

Two night 3-girlfriends getaway. We had a townhouse room, total cost only $225 including taxes. Positives: view & semi-private outdoor deck, quality of king bed, excellent linens, shower, free wireless and parking (1 car per room.) Breakfast was ok, but not enticing enough for us to use both mornings. Negatives: fridge had groceries, including milk, left by previous guest still... more

We live in NYC and drove to Newport for a weekend getaway. We had a fantastic time and LOVED our room at the Mill Street Inn. We stayed in a townhouse suite - the simple modern & chic style of the decor was beautiful. The private balcony was perfect - sweeping city and water views. The price was EXCELLENT -... more
