The Mill Street Inn is a very pretty hotel situated right off Thames Street. We were there to attend an event at URI and the studio style room replete with muted shades of cream, blue and brown, big comfy bed, and clean room was quite comfortable. As an added bonus, they serve a delicious buffet breakfast and tea at about... More

We are probably not typical of people who stay at this property - my husband is a bargain hunter and we tried it out in the winter at a discount for just one night. There were several very nice features of our room, including the roof deck and the gas fireplace. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large... More

One of the best places we have stayed. Room was awesome - 2 tv's, refrigerator, parking, central to Newport attractions, great shower.... The breakfast was better than we were expecting - bagels, muffins, rolls, smoked salmon, fruit, cereal, different kinds of cream cheese...... In the afternoon there were brownies and cookies with coffee, tea and apple cider. Cookies were wonderful.... More

Parking in Newport can be almost impossible so I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found there was parking beneah the building and in a lot adjacent to the building. Couldn't be more convienient. We had booked a "deluxe" room and we were not disappointed. On he main floor we had a living room with a snack fridge and... More

This was an exceptional two day stay at this friendly, boutique hotel. The quiet yet central location was perfect. All staff members went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was outstanding with way more than enough choices including hot quiche and frittatas: afternoon brownies and coffee hit the spot after an invigorating day out. The suite was clean,... We had a wonderful stay at the Mill Street Inn for our Anniversary. The hotel is in a GREAT location that allows you to walk to all of downtown Newports shops and restaurants. We typically do not like to stay at large chain hotels and this hotel was right up our alley. The rooms were nice and we liked having... More

This is a beautiful inn on a quiet street but it's also close to everything! The staff is amazing and the manager (Siren) goes out of her way to make sure you're happy and comfortable. We've stayed here before and will be back again soon. We highly recommend it, it's clean, modern and has free parking for guests which is... More

Quiet, comfortable and convenient. Excellent location. Close to great restaurants and shopping. Very short ride to the Mansions if that is an interest. The breakfast (buffet style) is outstanding. The rooms are unique with exposed brick walls and high ceilings with ceiling fans. Free parking is a real plus. My husband and I have stayed here twice and will do... More

We had the pleasure of staying here last night ( 12-16-2014) and found it to be a wonderful experience. We found the staff to be very friendly and informative. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The parking was free. The location was two blocks from the main street. The breakfast was much more than a continental breakfast. It had... More

Arrived relatively late on biz travel. The night desk agent was sharp, and she suggested was ended up being the perfect nearby late night dining venue given my description of what I sought. Room 102 was exquisite with vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls, and many layers of cozy curtains, throws, blankets, pillows, quality shampoo (rare!), a complimentary healthy snack and... More
