My husband and I had visited the Lafayette hotels many times as we had our wedding in one of the rooms which was a beauty on it's on. But the one thing we did not get a chance to do until the wedding weekend was stay at the hotel. Leading up to it, the staff was incredibly helpful every single... More

This is a unique, boutique hotel. It is a change of pace from the normal Buffalo hotel, which is nice. However, with that comes a lack of customer service. What you get is fun decor, and that is about it. I travel for business, and as any business traveler knows, sometimes schedules change. I tried to cancel my reservation, but... More

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. The rooms in this recently-restored historical building are stylish and well-appointed, and the bed was super comfortable. We were most impressed by the very helpful and kind staff, who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, from the very quiet room they selected for us... More

This hotel is very beautifully appointed in the art deco style. The bed was so comfortable it made it hard to get up in the morning. The transom was just painted over so if there are people standing in the hallway, it is a little loud but once everyone is in their rooms, it is quiet. I would highly recommend... More

We usually stay at the Mansion on Delaware when visiting Buffalo but we decided to try this hotel out instead. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! This is a really nice hotel with some very interesting architecture. The rooms are very nicely appointed and the cost is reasonable. We had a late night drink and snack at the adjoining pub, which... This turn of the century hotel has been totally transformed through a thoughtful marriage of yesterday and today. Upon entering the lobby you are enthralled with the beautiful restoration. Wherever possible the history of the hotel has been maintained. Friendly staff greet you at the reception desk and have answers to all your questions. The rooms are beautifully restored with... We had a wonderful stay. The front desk service was warm and welcoming. We had a junior suite that was large and well-appointed. Agreed, the shower is total miss, but that was the only issue during our stay. The bed is so comfortable that you may be reluctant to return to your own. The two-sided fireplace must be terribly cozy... More

We recently stayed in the Hotel Lafayette in Buffalo - great building, nicely renovated. The room was very nice but the included breakfast very bad. We could have stayed in a not so fancy place, payed half the money and would have probably gotten a better breakfast! Plain bagels (not fresh), jelly of the cheapest brand, cream cheese, bad fruit,... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel @ The Lafayette from August 24-26 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel has been restored to the original beauty of the early 1900s and has a truly historic elegance to it. The lobby, although a little dark when you first enter, soon captivates you with its classic look. The front desk... More

We love this historic hotel. Nicely refurbished and brought back to life. We always get a junior suite. Very spacious and well appointed. The bedding is nice and romantic. We were VERY happy with Mark the bartender at the main bar. He made a "signature Manhattan" with bitters, splash of sweet Vermouth and roasted orange on rim. KILLER GOOD COCKTAIL.
