My wife and I stayed at the Hotel @ The Lafayette from August 24-26 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel has been restored to the original beauty of the early 1900s and has a truly historic elegance to it. The lobby, although a little dark when you first enter, soon captivates you with its classic look. The front desk... More

We love this historic hotel. Nicely refurbished and brought back to life. We always get a junior suite. Very spacious and well appointed. The bedding is nice and romantic. We were VERY happy with Mark the bartender at the main bar. He made a "signature Manhattan" with bitters, splash of sweet Vermouth and roasted orange on rim. KILLER GOOD COCKTAIL.

So I have stayed here numerous times. My preference when I visit Buffalo is the Hyatt a few blocks away, but that is not always available. On the good side, there is a large bar just off the lobby with a great beer selection (if you like local craft brews) that usually has some good energy, but a second, quieter bar... More

For the same price as a large room at the chains, you get a HUGE SUITE in this beautiful historic hotel. It was so quiet inside this stone building that we could hardly believe we were in the middle of the city. Valet parking is very helpful. Snappy front desk. Restaurants, bar, and services. And the rooms are amazing. Full... More

It's a good thing we stayed here at end if our trip vs early on as it would be difficult to stay at a standard chain hotel after this fun and funky place! Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is great with full gas stove! Bathrooms are huge. We loved the funky lobby. Only downside was the continental breakfast. Want to... More

Went to Buffalo to pick up a friend at the bus depot and take him back to Toronto, while waiting, I walked over to the Hotel Lafayette to have a look. Wow! What a beauty! Great vintage lobby, bars, and restaurants. Classic wood panelling and trimmings. They did a super job restoring it. Had a beer at the bar: staff... More

This hotel is very nice. I liked the modern touch of it and how the rooms are setup. Very nice location seeing im not from Buffalo and it was very easy to find. This isn't your ordinary chain hotel, every room has a different look and feel to it. Even though the room was small the way it was setup... More

Walking into the Hotel @ The Lafayette is like taking a step back in time. To the good ol' times of the 1930's. Art deco style. The lobby would be like something you would see in a Carey Grant movie. Authentic front desk room registry. Chic elevators. The hallways. Virtually everything was like the 30's deco. But ironically, the rooms... More

I stayed at the Lafayette for a wedding and loved the hotel. The rooms are recently renovated and gorgeous. The only thing that could make this hotel better is a few more amenities they are missing like a small shop selling bath products and a spa! The hotel rooms are comparable to a 4 star hotel in any major city,... More

I loved the decor of our suite, which had almost everything you'd expect In a standard hotel room (however, there was no iron, just an ironing board). My only complaint was that the room was SO LOUD. We were by the elevators, so that noise was constant, and we couldn't sleep because we could hear the showers and toilets running... More
