Oct 17-18 2009 We rented a room on the 8th floor, They also rented rooms on the same floor to 14 drunken, Party guys, All night they were parting in the halls, knocking on every door, they went out at about 8:30PM At 4:00AM they returned to party in the halls, but now drunker and louder. I call Management and... more

These owners need to be booted out of this hotel...I do believe it's a front for something very shady...rude desk clerks...no communication regarding problems...they scam everybody..must need the money..they lie thru their teeth..there is no maintenance on the weekends to fix anything...no heat in the apt that I rented..do not go to the Lenox if you know what's good for... more

I agree with some reviews : the location is great (three blocks away from the Anchor's Bar, less than 10 minutes from downtown), but the hotel itself is not a great deal. My friends and I had a room on 8th floor and we had to walk all the way up because the elevator wasn't working (kinda hard after a... more

Don't ever take recommendation from a local in a liquor store. The Lenox might have been the highlight for "Greats in the Yesteryears..." it sure ain't so now! Having heard from the night clerk on 4/25 that there "is no wireless"; fighting with the blinds; coming down from the 7th floor to get ice from him; dealing with poor lighting... more

Out of an old move, truly an old flop house that has somehow eluded the wrecking ball. It was honestly the most unattractive place I have ever stayed. The highlight was that I didn't see any insects, although I kinda exp[ected to see some. more

Horrific beyond words....The photo on the website showed this lovely older hotel...just renovated it says. The lobby did not have so much as a chair. The rooms ( I was in 4 in the three miserable days I was there) was clean but stark....all with broken blinds, no shampoo or hairdryer in the bathroom, no coffee maker and no heat....No... more

The Lenox is not your typical full service hotel. There isn't an ice machine on every floor and you are not going to get turn-down service with a mint on your pillow. I'm sure back in its heyday (1900?) it was a grand Hotel in the full American tradition. Over the years it has fallen on hard times. I was... more

I see the horrible past reviews of this hotel but some are several years old. Apparently, there has been major renovation going on since that time. My sig-other & I stayed there one night on the way back from a few days in Niagara Falls, Ontario; we had an early flight back from BUF and wanted to stay closer to... more

The oldest hotel (over a century) still in operation in Buffalo, the Lenox has been through many owners and managements. The current owner is committted to returning this proud, old lady to her former stature and restoring the reputation and physical plant - both of which had been allowed to deteriorate under former regimes. The Lenox is about half-and-half spacious,... more
