We have stayed in Medora multiple time at different campgrounds, but a last minute decisions left us with little options around the Fourth of July. Upon entering the campground we were given a small site, and told they were completely full. The campground was empty, littered, our sewer line was next to our neighbors front door and the owners were... More

An easy walk to town. If you are looking for a high class place this is not where to camp. If you get past the fact this is not your main stream feeling campground it is fine. All of our needs were met. They offer karakoe. Many children enjoying themselves in the play area. Random mix of not normal merchandise... More

Friendly family, they'll stay up till you show up. They guide you to your spot, help you get parked. Quiet spot, nice grassy "patios". Picnic tables included. We have stayed here many times, not many rv sites located in Medora. Especially in town.

Campground was pretty average. It was relatively clean. You could see they tried. However my three complaints were: (1) the "pull thru" they place us in was right next to a permanent structure. Looked kinda of like a mobile home, but I believe it was a custom built house made to fit a RV site. This building took the entire... More

This campground was on the edge of a neighborhood. Our sites was on the end along the neighborhood street, with people walking along the sidewalk daily. There is some shade. I was a little worried that they would not have my reservation since they are not online and didn't send me a confirmation, but check in was easy- peasy. The... More

We stayed here because of the great location. You can walk to uptown Medora which is very convenient. Our site wasn't the worst. It was full service, not very well kept but adequate. Some sites however have huge huge dumpsters right beside them, next to your picnic table practically. Not nice. They also have nightly entertainment, karaoke, that the owners... More

I am surprised at some other comments concerning rude staff. I stayed overnight at the Red Trail and it was everything I wanted in a campground. Good facilities, clean bathrooms, and staff that were very friendly and helpful. The campground is located near downtown Medora and minutes away from Theodore Roosevelt National Park. If you are planning to camp in... More

This campground is average...with the potential to become above average. When we checked in, it took a long time for the office to help us. Two people in the office were unhappy with each other. Our spot was far enough from the office that we did not have to listen to the nightly karaoke. There is an additional charge for... More

The campsite is fine for us needing a place to spend the night as we traveled to our destination. We are wedged in, but have full hook-ups, and a tiny patch of grass in the back for the dogs. The staff we encountered was rude, impatient, and unwelcoming. This was our 8th campground during our cross country RV trip and... More

Great location just blocks from downtown Medora. Most sites have at least a little shade. If you have an RV with a bathroom, you are doing well. If you have to use the facilities at the campground, you are not so fortunate. The shower curtains are torn, falling off, not large enough and moldy. (A shower curtain is cheap -... More
