Medora is a small, walkable town and the Rough Riders Hotel is in the perfect location. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated with the nicest hotel bathroom I've ever had. A walk-in shower, yes please! Our room was on the second floor and faced out of the non-street side, which was a bit awkward as we were looking down... More

At checkin, unpleasant experience with young, rude woman, Rachel -front desk. Delightful young brunette at sister property (who set all right). Benito in rough riders restaurant was fantastic. Owners should know they have a first impression employee who is harming everything they have so painstakingly built.

My wife and I love Medora and this is our second time here. We had no desire to go back to the last hotel. The Rough Riders has wonderful charm and we are glad we stayed here.It is expensive, but there is limited choice. I hope to get back to Mefora and stay here again.

We held a family reunion in Medora. One evening, we requested a catered meal in a private room at the Rough Riders Hotel. Ermuum and her staff organized this event and other accommodations with us ahead of time. Our catered dinner was tasty and hot. We especially enjoyed the pot roast. The food items were displayed attractively. The staff was... More

The hotel is nice and attractive. The staff was pleasant, but not overly pleasant. The last time we stayed, we stayed in the older part where it was a bit larger. This time we stayed in the newer part, but on the first floor (so that we could have easy access to our car). Our room was quite small, with... More

Very nice stay, very nice hotel. Friendly people. Room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. Bathroom was very nice, but with the dark materials and appointments, plus dim lighting, it was difficult to apply makeup or shave. Hotel dining room was very nice, and breakfast was exceptionally good. Staff provided lots of tips on places to see and things to... More

We decided to pay extra for the convenience of being in town and were pleased we did. The hotel was very clean and we had a refrigerator in our room. We did not have a view, but everything else about the hotel seemed a little more upscale, and we enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to dinner and... More

Rough Riders is the best place to stay in Medora. It's close to the entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and within walking distance of just about everything in town. The staff was helpful and courteous. You can get your tickets for the Medora Musical and the Pitchfork Fondue right in the hotel, which is nice. (And if you're going... More

Great hotel in a an ideal location surrounded by national park and the town of Medora. Easy access to the park, all services, sites, musicals, dinners, and nightlife. An incredible place with an extremely friendly atmosphere. The hotel has everything you need and the service was exceptional. Definitely recommend staying here. Very popular, so make your reservations early.

You can throw a stone from the hotel and hit TR National Park--so if that's your purpose in visiting the park, you're on the right track. We were shocked by the quality of the rooms and their cleanliness. The entrance to the hotel was impressive and a monument to TR. tough to get into the restaurant for dinner--go early or... More
