Our room at Rough Riders Motel was very clean and comfy. A real plus for 4 senior ladies was that we could park right outside our door and didn't have to drag our luggage. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

While we were not in one of the refreshed rooms, our room was spacious and clean. The curvy retro shower was actually quite a hit with the kids! The beds were a small full, the room could accomodate queens. I assume in the newer rooms there are bigger beds. At any rate, we found them comfortable and bedding was nice.... More

We stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms; very nicely finished with good beds and up-to-date bathroom fixtures. Room was large enough for a king bed with plenty of extra room. We parked our car and walked the entire town of Medora. There is a pool available for hotel guests that seemed quite attractive to the families at the... More

We had booked at the1 rated hotel in town, but were offered 2 rooms( first overlooking a bunch of ventilation shafts and 2nd in the newer section with windows that could not open) and asked them to cancel us, which they did at no charge, decent of them. Moved to the Badlands, nice staff, decent room overlooking the buttes and... More

An old fashioned type of motel in a cowboy town on the edge of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Older style rooms but perfectly adequate for one night and at a reasonable price. There was rather a lot of noise from showers and toilets as rooms back onto each other. Staff very helpful with great dinner and breakfast suggestions. Able... More

Our family of four stayed here one night in July 2013. The room was in need of an update but it was clean, had AC, and the convenience of being right in Medora. Since we spent most of our time either in Teddy Roosevelt Nat'l Park or strolling on the streets of Medora, we didn't spend much time in the... More

Started off not so good, when the desk person told me the price. Almost walked out, but because it was off season and later in the night, he was willing to work with me. The room was huge, and very clean. The motel was located right in the center of town which was very nice too. The only reason I... More

Two friends shared a small twin-bedded room that was totally adequate but nothing special. The desk staff is friendly and the town is darling with more options than we expected for meals. It's not much of a walk to the main part of the motel and the rest of the town - you really don't have to drive. The lighting... More

We purchased a Medora package, which included the Pitchfork Buffet, the Medora Musical and the motel. We chose the Badlands Motel package, as it was the least expensive. When asked if we wanted 2 double beds or a queen, I chose the queen. Well, that automatially put us in their bunkhouse units, which are not near the main street area.... More
