Quiet country get-away. Walking distance for restaurants and shopping. Picnic area, walking trail. Great location for touring the The Flint Hills of Kansas.
If you are in favor of small, independent, motels, you can find it here. We stayed one night as we passed through the area. Great service, clean, quiet and peaceful. There are 5 rooms, 2 are suites. And the bonus cabin! It was simple, but what do you really need? WiFi, cable, privacy.... Yes! We will be back!

I have been by this place a number of times and they were booked. This time there was a vacancy. The place is very nice for the price. The room and bathroom are very clean and bed comfortable. They also had nice linens on the bed. The owners are as friendly as they come. I urge anyone in the area to support this mom and pop motel.

I had a room facing the river. It had a funky charm I really enjoyed. Clean room in good repair and the bed was very comfy. I only stayed two nights, but I would have gladly stayed a week. There are some nice places to eat in the area- and the Tall Grass Prairie Preserve is nearby - but it would be nice to just loll about, watch the river, read, nap, and generally decompress.

We stayed at Millstream last night for a quick overnight stay. We were able to stay in their private cabin below the main building, with the river just a short distance away. The entire resort ( even though it is small) is unique, quiet, rustic yet up to date! We have stayed numerous times there and we will return! The owners are great!

Nice relaxing atmosphere everywhere you go on this property. Fire pit large enough for a group gathering. Fish right off the bank in their back yard. Relax in their cute cozy cabin or spread out in a large room.

This small, old style resort motel is right on the Cottonwood River in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. It is only a short drive to the beautiful Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, and just a short walk to the several blocks of downtown Cottonwood Falls and the historic County Courthouse. Being in the very center of Chase County one can take several looping drives from here and see the vast and quite unexpected scenery of this area of the Flint Hills. We burned a bit of wood in fire ring, after grilling out by the river. Sharon and Richard are welcoming hosts who keep a very clean property. We will definitely stay there again.

We were planning to visit Tallgrass Prairie Reserve and wanted to stay nearby. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and reasonably priced. The owners, Sharon and Richard, are friendly and helpful. Not a lot of air flows into the room, so we left the room door open and locked the screen door. I definitely recommend staying here.

My friend and I stayed here one night during a short, whirlwind trip to the midwest - 4 states in 4 days! We spent other nights in typical hotels and were a bit apprehensive about this property. We were happily surprised. Sharon and her husband are welcoming, helpful hosts and made us feel right at home. The property is quirky (in a good way) very clean, and well maintained. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We were travelling through Kansas and came upon the Millstream Resort when a nearby hotel was full for the night--what a lucky break! Sharon was a very welcoming host and we were lucky to get to stay in the sweet wee stone cabin at the back of the property. The cabin is small but well formed and was perfect for the two of us. Delightful location on the river and near the falls. Lovely wee town with a stunning court house building overlooking the main street. Would definitely stay here again.

I love this place. Reasonable rates. VERY clean. My room was large with a full bath. Microwave, minifridge, tv and great wifi. Rooms are furnished with antiques and yard sale items. It all works and is very comfortable. Cool little funky place.
