This place was pretty bad, but not as bad as the Relax Inn just south on US-89. Any place along US-89 in Flagstaff is going to have frequent loud train noise at various times during the day. One of the electrical sockets didn't work (years of abuse). Also, the toilets installed in the rooms are designed to clog if one... more

We had to change trip plans due to weather at the last minute and failed to check tripadvisor when I booked this room. The trains sounded every 15 minutes right in front of hotel all night long!!! Worst hotel stay in my life! We will NEVER stay in Flagstaff again. We would have been better off sleeping in the car... more

These rooms are over-priced and dirty! The blankets were dirty, stained worn and the comforters were no better. Howard Johnson is a well-known name but this Howard Johnson is a dump- Don't pay more than 35.00 for these rooms, that's all thier worth! Plus the owner's have an out-dated key system and are paranoid your going to loose their key.... more

Traveling on weekends is always a crapshoot, it seems. We were roaming home from N. Mexico and needed a basic place to stay in Flagstaff. Kayak.com turned up this property at a good rate (for a popular weekend). I should have checked reviews first but this place, to their credit, has a liberal cancellation policy that I should have used... more

Let me see....from the dead cockroach in the bathroom, to the spots of blood on the sheets, to the cardboard taped over the hole in the wall just under the sink, to the intense cigarette smell coming from the pillows, bedding and ancient carpet in this non-smoking room (we double checked and were refused the opportunity to move to an... more

We got a good rate while other motels were double the price. Its under new ownership and they seem to be working hard to make it better then it was under the previous owners. The room was clean. We requested a fridge and promptly got one without any additional charge. It was extremely hot and the a/c worked fine and... more

This hotel really is as bad as the reviews have said. We ended up staying here for one night because it was the only place left during graduation weekend. While we did not expect luxury, or even comfort, we did expect a certain level of sanitation. I have never stayed in such a filthy room. We attempted three times to... more

Having not read all these bad reviews PRIOR to booking a room at this Howard Johnson...I was really worried. However, either it really wasn't that bad or I came expecting the worse possible scenario...in any case, I had a pretty pleasant stay. When we checked in, there were a lot of people behind the front desk...apparently they are changing ownership/management... more

We chose this hotel out of three offered due to the "brand name." The first night no id/credit cards checked-name only. The toilet got stopped up, first use. The second night we were locked out in spite of reserving it three days. The third night we did not stay. We had contacted the owner that the maid lost our remote... more

It was the worst stay of my life. The room smelled of old cigarettes, the floors were disgusting, the towels were dirty. the tub was brown with dirt, and who knows what else. The shower curtain was moldy, the sheets were dirty and stained, the cable didn't work, and many more I can't even think of. When my husband called... more
