At first I was leery about choosing this hotel because of the extremely negative reviews that it got as recently as 2008. But upon checking in to the hotel, it is evident that the management have taken tremendous effort to improve their quality of service. The furniture was not brand new but the rooms were clean especially the carpet. The... more

I wouldn't recommend to visit to Econo Lodge University in Flagstaff . Though staff was nice, room and place is rather so-so. My son was waiting for swimming in the pool but it doesn't work. He was dissatisfied. Breakfast was below the average in this class hotels. Thanks a lot for other members of Tripadvisor for sharing their experiences. It... more

The people who work here are superb, they go well out of their way to help and are pleasant the whole time. The hotel is a bit more run down than your average Econo Lodge, but it is kept very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The internet is fast, and they are quick to address any problem. Whatever... more

My husband and I stayed at the Econo Lodge University in Flagstaff for three nights. The front desk staff are wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was perfect; clean, good size, well appointed, quiet, and the bed was VERY comfortable. The hotel's location is perfect; within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores and a great local for various day... more

WoW!!! Never stayed at a Econo, but totally thrilled with my stay in Flagstaff. Very friendly and helpful staff with LARGE comfortable room at a inexpensive rate. Free breakfast was a big dissapointment (retail muffins and coffee), but that didn't change my mind about my stay with a friendly staff with a clean comfortable room at a cheap rate. Now if... more

If you're staying at an Econo-Lodge, you already have limited expectations. But you still should be able to walk around in your own room without your white socks turning black on the bottom. In addition, the so-called "continental breakfast" is woefully inadequate. Also, if you want more than toast or an English muffin, weak coffee and cafeteria-quality juice, head down... more

We were taking my relatives from England to the Grand Canyon. We booked two rooms here via the 800 number and got an e-mail confirmation. On check-in we were given a print-out detailing extra charges if we brought an animal to the room. Temperature outside was 15F and rooms were cold, so heating turned up. Heating/cooling system was so noisy... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in October and it wasn't a bad place to stay. Drove here from Vegas basically just to do the Grand Canyon which is not very far away so we were hardly in our room. Even though the hotel is on a main road i didn't hear any traffic, didn't hear the train either. Breakfast was okay,but... more
