On 08-01-2009, my boyfriend and I stayed for 1 night at this hotel. My boyfriend is Hearing Impaired and has a small (12 lb) well trained Service Dog. When we checked in the night before, we had no problems. However, when we went to the lobby in the morning, where the Continental Breakfast was being served, the man behind the... more

We planned to have a nice 3 day weekend with a train trip to the Grand Canyon and wanted to view the stars through the telescopes at Lowell Observatory. The train trip was enjoyable and entertaining. The view into the canyon was remarkable but the weather didn't co-operate for us to use the facilities at Lowell. The location was OK... more

We stayed here purely to visit the Grand Canyon; from here the Canyon was about 90miles / 1h 30mins drive. The Hotel was clean, comfortable and the rooms where fairly sized. Our particular room had a sofa which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was pretty good also with bagels and waffles. The area seemed safe but was located off the... more

The breakfast was better than most, although there was limited seating. On the bad side we thought we booked a "suite", at least that was how the front desk guy and... more

Well, lets start with the postitives: 1. Lobby was actually pretty nice. Despite an only ok, staff. Thats all the positives, now the negatives: 1. Room was not clean, not even up to Super 8 standards! 2. Door looked like someone tried to break into the room, it was really bad. It barely locked right. 3. Bathroom was very small,... more

The door to the room that we were given did not lock. After insisting that we must have a locking room, we were given a different room. (The desk person stated that he "hoped it was clean.") This 2nd room smelled strongly of smoke even though it was labeled non-smoking. There was no hot water either morning that we stayed... more

Is not at this location anymore - but there is one on Lucky Lane, nearby off of E. Butler Ave., which obviously used to be some other chain until recently - they use Ramada key cards and it's not in the Super 8 2005 Guidebook but is on their website. It's okay but the reception person was consistently dis-interested, offhand... more
