My husband and I have stayed in many B&B’s over the years, and Richard was probably the most informative innkeeper we have encountered. He gave us a thorough tour of the house which was meticulously clean and attention to detail was evident throughout. Our room was lovely and cool (we had our own A/C unit as did all of the... More

We have never been to a B&B before the England House and I must say my expectations will be very high if we ever go to others. We were heading home from a business trip and with a stroke of luck, reserved the "Pantry Room" after someone just cancelled. The room was originally a pantry and was turned into a... More

From the moment of arrival, we felt welcomed and at home. Richard greeted us by name and even a "Happy Birthday" as it was my birthday weekend. We were taken on a tour and the detail and work put in to make this home feel like a flash in time was incredible. From the ceiling to the floor, nothing was... More

We have stayed at many, many B and Bs. England House is at the same time one fo the best and also in need of a bit of attention. Like so much of Flagstaff, England House is not air conditioned. Generally it is not needed. It does get a bit stuffy between 2 and 6 PM, but sleeping is glorious.... More

England House is a meticulously restored period property, with some incredible details, such as original nineteenth-century tub in the room we stayed in. The whole property is decorated with incredible furnishings. You couldn't ask for a better location: it's a few minutes walk to downtown (and the many excellent craft breweries of Flagstaff...), or (if it's your thing) you can... More

Spoil yourself and stay at the England House in Flagstaff. The attention to detail in this wonderful old home is amazing. The place was spotless. Laurel and Richard are very warm and entertaining. The food is delicious, fresh and homemade. They give very good information about restaurants and many things within walking distance of the England House. They also had... More

From the time we stepped onto the historic porch of England House to the last goodbyes from our hosts, we felt special. The home is amazing from its incredible history, decor, and oh so comfortable beds. The breakfasts were top notch, elegant and filling. Our hosts had every piece of info needed to help our stay feel tailored for our... More

Richard and Laurel have done an amazing job with this historic home in Flagstaff. The food is to die for, I asked for every recipe of what I have eaten there. I have stayed several times and have suggested that anyone looking for a nice place to stay to stay there. The home that guests sleep in is only slept... More

This is a first class B&B. It is a short walk to downtown. The host and hostess were terrific. Everything from the linens, soaps, towels, etc. were first class. The breakfast is a gourmet type in a very nice setting. Afternoon includes wine, beer and treats. I cannot think of anywhere else to stay when I am in Flagstaff.

We came to this lovely b@b because a friend of ours was extremely positive about her experience here. And we couldn't be more pleased about folowing her recommendation. The England house is the best b@b ever. It's a combination of the amazing hospitality and humor of the owners, the beauty the house, the lovely breakfast (that the owners prepare fresh every... More
