My husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary by spending a weekend at The England House. What a spectacular stay we had! We had first toured the b&b a few years ago and vowed to come back for a weekend stay. The only thing we regret is that we didn't do it sooner! Because the co-ownwer, Laurel, had to be... more

We stayed here only one night (in the smallest "pantry" room - the other rooms are much larger). The hosts, Laurel and Richard were extremely gracious, helpful and enthusiastic. The surroundings were just beautiful, with antiques and upscale attention to detail. Various treats were available for snacking and the breakfast was tasty and ample. The pantry is a small gem... more

We really enjoyed our stay for one night and a completely different experience to staying in a chain hotel or motel, much more intimate and friendly. Richard and Laurel pay a lot of attention to detail and go out of their way to help you, it must be very hard work for them. They've done a good job of restoring... more

Welcoming, charming hosts. Beautiful, comfy rooms. Spotless. Overflowing with information. Free to wander out of your room for a drink in the middle of the night. Fresh quality coffee, cookies - even a package for the road. Negatives? Hmm, the pantry room is tiny, no tv. Parking was snug as well. Billed when booked rather than visited. The dog may... more

Based on their Trip Advisor rating, we chose to end our Northern Arizona trip at the England House B&B. This was our 3-day location, so we really wanted it to be great. It wasn't just great -- it was fabulous. The house is wonderful -- two stories, 3 rooms on the top floor, one on the bottom along with the... more

Owners very knowledgeable of the area and attractions. The B&B itself was very well thought out. Originally an old mansion, converted into a B&B. Very good attention to detail in the furnishings. Breakfast was very good. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms. It was very nice. Only negative I found was in the room we stayed the bathroom... more

I absolutely adore the England House. Hubby and I stayed there for a trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. If you're heading out to AZ to see the Grand Canyon, I highly recommend staying in Flagstaff--and at the England House especially. When we arrived, one of the owners, Richard, was there to greet us immediately. Exhausted from spending hours... more

We stayed for five days in the Pantry room and loved it. It was small but extremely comfortable and clean and plush. The best feature of this B&B, however, was the lovely couple who owned and ran the place - Laurel and Richard. From the moment we walked into their home/B&B they treated us like old friends. They knew the... more

Our two-night lodging at England House was a treat to ourselves. We have stayed in many simple b & b's abroad, but nothing so plush in America. From the first moment we walked up the stately stairs, we were surrounded by comfort and charm and indeed treated to a most special time. As another reviewer suggested, this IS a b... more

This is the nicest bed&breakfast we have ever stayed in! We got a very warm welcome, including an extensive tour of the house, and the possibility to play with the family’s 4-month old puppy if we wanted to! The house itself is very beautiful, and we really felt very welcome. The kitchen contained lots of complimentary things that we could... more
