Located in the center of Flagstaff, it's not far to get to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Free parking, but the lot was sometimes hard to get in/out of since the entrance is located right on a busy intersection. The room was surprisingly clean. Although it is about an hour drive to the Grand Canyon, this was a nice... More

The Highland Country Inn is well located near the historic part of Flagstaff. I got a room, parked my car, and walked to the old town area where there is plenty to see, eat, and drink. IMO the hotel is a little overpriced for what it offers, but from my shopping around I think it's probably priced right for the... More

I stayed here on 7-18. Pretty nice motel. Very clean but a little pricey. No breakfast, workout room,or pool but clean and comfortable. A coffee maker was not provided but they had coffee in the office. Parking lot was clean and it was easy to get into. Great shower.

I usually don't stay at two star/motels, but I was surprised by the highland country inn. It's very dated but the cleanliness makes up for everything. Yeah it's stuck in 1993 but I couldn't find a speck of dirt or a piece of trash anywhere! I'm a big fan of hotel impossible, so I know all of the tricks and... More

Average, clean but dated hotel. Good shower but tiny bathroom. Outside entrances, no elevator to the second floor. You even had to climb a fair number of stairs to check in, so not very good for handicap or difficulty with stairs. Parking was at a premium. Very accommodating night manager. Price seemed high for what we got, but this was... More

We have stayed here several times, most recently, this week. The room was clean with fresh paint and carpeting and also had a microwave and fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The location is spectacular. There are lots of restaurants and breweries within walking distance. The only downside of the location is that it is noisy from traffic and trains... More

Travelling on I40 we needed a stop in northern AZ. Flagstaff hotels can be expensive, but the Highland exceeded my expectations especially at the price point. Kind of strange driveway entry NOT on the addresses street, but right at the intersection corner. Just look for the big sign. Very clean and aging but well kept. No free breakfast, but plenty... This was a quaint small motel. Very convenient from downtown (within walking distance). Very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Very quiet considering your window was to the outside parking lot. I wasn't trilled with our A/C unit. I think they could do a little better with the units. Never hot or uncomfortable but I like my room COLD.

Exactly what we were looking for a nice hotel that wasn't too pricey. Very nice and professional staff.. Room was clean and nice sized with a mini fridge. The room had free wifi and has a good location right off the old Route 66.

I was not happy that there was no elevator and limited parking. I was also unhappy with the management's inflexibility. I had booked online and mistakenly booked the night before I was going to be there. Minutes later I realized the mistake and tried to simply move to the next night (there was availability) they refused. Luckily, the site I... More
