We stayed 3 separate days over a 10 day period, using it as a base hotel for our first Grand Canyon vacation. The staff was very competent. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast had a variety of food and it was of good quality. One day it was Chocolate Day so we all receive chocolates in the afternoon.... More

Driving from Los Angeles on the way to Santa Fe, we realized that we need a stop over after 7 hours on the road. I am an elite member and also have Marriott credit card, so the decision was easy to choose a Marriott brand. I liked the motel feel of the property. It seemed quaint and homey. We arrived... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 2wk road trip thru Arizona, Mexico, California & Nevada. We stayed in a suite near the pool, a luxurious room overlooking a marina and a monster room with a view of LV. Then we stayed in Flagstaff at the Fairfield. We've stayed in Marriott hotels before all over North America but... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights while visiting Grand Canyon. What stands out in the dated hotel are the people there - both the front office and support team are excellent. The Hotel is a tad different from other Marriotts with an open architecture of the roadside motels of the 70s ( In fact it was one such,... More

This hotel was perfectly adequate for our two-night stay during a road trip. It’s funny that some people don’t think this is up to Marriott standards. Marriott has a very wide ranging “standard.” There are very plush J.W. Marriotts, regular Marriotts, extended stays, etc. Just don’t come here with the expectation that you are a getting a J.W. and you’ll... More

I knew what I was getting in to before arriving there but thought it is a Marriott & how small could it be. They have big furniture in the room which makes it feel very claustrophobic. The bathroom was smaller than I read from the reviews. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but decided to stay only 1. The... More

Nothing fancy but a good bargain with lots of little amenities, such microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms, snacks, cookies and 24 hour coffee in the lobby. There is a sufficient hot breakfast, while the staff are quite accommodating. The rooms are on the small side. The mattresses are not the usual "Marriott" mattresses though. Easy access from the interstate,... More

This hotel offered nice rooms with excellent beds and a nice free breakfast. It was close to Old Town , the wonderful Arboretum and the Lowell Observatory as well as the NAU campus. It was clean and the staff is very pleasant. Only two minor issues ... it was hard to find ( but they gave excellent directions to get... More

Flagstaff is kind of expensive, but a beautiful location. The rooms served it purpose, big enough for two. Clean and neat, I like the fact we could park right outside of our door. The staff were nice. Access to the hotel is a little tricky, since we aren't familiar with the area. Eating place all around.

The worst part was the bed. It was tiny and hard as a rock. The pillows were flat and hard. We were also unfortunate enough to stay on the second floor. It sounded like giants stomping around above us for a good part of the night. I got may be three hours of sleep. There was a sticky substance several... More
