Spent a week here in June/July 09, primarily wanted somewhere near the Grand Canyon amd the Petrified Forest, Flagstaff came in as the choice especially as we discovered that due to it's altitude the day temperature was typically 28C, with a nighttime of about 18C. This was compared with elsewhere (Sedona and Phoneix) of about 40C and 28C. At the... more

We stayed at this hotel on June 20th..It was not a good experience. The worst was they DID NOT CHANGE the sheets from the previous guest. When we got ready to go to sleep after a long day I pulled back the covers to find lipstick on the sheet and the smell of someones strong perfume. The sheets were also... more

Very pleased with this hotel. Front desk was helpful with dinner suggestions. Room was clean and everything worked. Bed was fine. It's a few blocks away from the infamous railroad but you couldn't hear the trains. Room was nice and quiet. Very typical Fairfield Inn which isn't a bad thing. If you stay here you won't be disappointed. more

I consider myself an expert on this small mountain town. I went to NAU during the 90s and not much has changed since. I really enjoy this hotel. The location and cleanliness are the main reasons and having a good free breakfast doesn't hurt either! For those visiting Flag, you really want to find a hotel NOWHERE near the train... more

First, be aware that this is a motel. Only the top floor rooms open into a hallway. Rooms and decor are somewhat dated and our room smelled of smoke. Breakfast room not big enough for the amount of guests that the motel can accomodate. The front desk staff was excellent and quite friendly. Simply an average place, slightly below what... more

The hotel is situated in a very nice place. The rooms are clean, but small. The breakfast is average (just enough to start a day). We stayed on the highest (third) floor with an entrance from the corridor. The lower floors have outside entrances to rooms. The hotel offers a free Internet access and on-site parking. We would recommend the... more

Stayed 2 nights in May 2009. Room was clean, but small. This is an older facility, which appears to have been renovated into a Fairfield. Bottom floors are outside corridors. Not good. Buffet area is way too small for the size of the facility. Exercise room is small. Grounds need some work. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.... more

We booked a two beds room with a desk. It is roomy enough, The room is clean, no stinky smell. We got a good sleep. This is a safe bet for the price we paid. more

Very nice motel. The breakfast room was bright and cheerful with a big variety of things to choose from. The staff bakes free, hot, fresh cookies and provides good coffee for guests throughout the day. The aroma is wonderful. Newspapers are also provided free. The room was about average but it was clean which is important to me. The staff... more

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Flagstaff on our way to and from California this winter. The inn is relatively new and clean; it sits on a little plateau above the main highway, but far enough back from it so that it's quiet. The one caution about this inn is the size of its rooms. They are about one-third... more
