Stayed here in December so that I was close enough to visit the Grand Canyon, Sedona and the Hopi Reservation. What an awesome spot! so central and such incredible friendly staff! It has a great relaxed small town vibe and you meet some amazing people! Flagstaff is also an incredible town and I would suggest taking a day just walking... More

First, let me say that I stayed here 17 years ago when I hiked the Grand Canyon (65 miles away). It is as good if not better now. I got a Private room with a shared bath down the hall. It was just as quaint as I remembered it. The rooms and bath are clean and the place has a... More

I stayed here for a week while seeing the sights like the Grand Canyon and Mt Humphrey. Yes the place is a bit run down, but its a cheap hostel in a great location. It's only a 5min walk to the town centre, which is very convenient if you want to have a few drinks. The staff were always friendly... More

I've been here a number of times over the years. It's a hostel so manage your expectations. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bedding is clean. They serve a nice basic breakfast which helps for some quick food before a day of activities...no protein though. Coin laundry offered too and it's relatively cheap. Here are a couple tips: 1. Don't get... More

Booked: 4-bed all-female dorm. I stayed 4 days, 3 nights. See HostelWorld.com for prices/availability or visit their website. I'm no diva at all but GCIH seems a little bit rundown and old. The paint on some corners were chipping off and the sink looked a little crusty from calcification. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of sockets to charge your... More

The first impression was very uninspiring. The desk manager was away when we came by to drop off our cases. A young member of staff grumpily told us it was not her job but was persuaded, with bad grace, to put our cases away securely. When we came back from the airport with a friend that youngster was lounging on... More

I never stayed at the GC Int. Hostel, but at their sister accommodation, right around the corner; Motel duBeau. It was ideal, within walking distance of everything, and very quiet at night. Highly recommended. Also, the Grand Canyon Hostel does a tour of the Grand Canyon - you can sign up for it at Motel DuBeau, I highly recommend that... More

This hostel is amazing, the staff are genuinely friendly as well as the owners. They offer tours to he Grand Canyon three times a week, as long as 3 people sign up and the tour guild, Dylan is super informative and knows his stuff. There is free breakfast in the morning (oatmeal, toast, fruit) and two equipped kitchens to use,... More

If we could give this place 6 stars we would!! Their staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is basic but good (oatmeal, toast and fruit) and the price is really reasonable! Easy drive to the Grand Canyon too. Would... More

Although the building is old, it is clean, quiet and very well run. The historic downtown location can't be beat for walking to all the bars, restaurants, shops, First Friday Art Walk, Amtrak train station, etc. Plus it is just an hour and a half from the Grand Canyon. They even offer day trips to the Grand Canyon very reasonable... More
