So glad we found the Monte V for our night in Flagstaff before heading out to the Canyon the next morning. What a fun place! The employee at the desk was super-nice, and the rooms were quaint a clean. We would have been bored senseless stuck in some generic chain hotel. Instead, we had an awesome evening meeting Flagstaff locals... More

Getting really bored of the sweltering summer in Phoenix, my husband and I decided to take a trip up to Flagstaff for the night to enjoy some cooler mountain air. I chose to stay at the Monte Vista for its location which was central to Flagstaff nightlife. I knew it was a historic hotel before I booked it and expected... More

I decided to stay at a Historial landmark hotel because they usually have a lot of character and can claim to be haunted. The rooms are named after movie stars. Monte Vista is right in the middle of downtown Flagstaff. The rooms are adequate and beds were comfortable, bathrooms antiquated(it is an old hotel) but functional and clean. There is... More

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to New Mexico from Vegas, and loved it. Each room has their individual characteristics. We stayed in the Freddie Mercury room. It overlooked the street, and the bed was really comfortable. There are also several cool ghost stories about the hotel, which definitely adds excitement to your stay. Make sure you... More

We loved our experience at the Monte Vista in downtown Flagstaff. The decor is wonderful, definitely more vintage in character. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially, Dean, the Barista. Will be visiting again soon!

Of course the 'Old world' charm of this hotel means it is cared for and beautifully furnished. We stayed in Clark Gables suite overlooking the street and found the room warm, cosy with a great ambience. Wonderful, helpful staff and a great location in the centre of town.

The Hotel Monte Vista is a reminder of an elegant time. The rooms are small but clean and nicely maintained. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and was able to recommend restaurants and drinks...exactly what you would hope for. We were told the hotel was haunted but the ghosts did not disturb our sleep. It is a... More

No, we didn't see a ghost! The rooms are small but really cool if you like historic hotels. We really enjoyed our stay at the Monte Vista. My husband and I also had a cocktail in the bar there. It was quaint. Totally worth staying here if you find yourself in Flagstaff.

We loved the charm of this historic hotel, and the idea of all the old film stars having stayed there. We had a back room so no problem with noise. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, recommended a wonderful restaurant which could walk to for dinner. Coffee was good in the downstairs bar. Only... More

I recently stayed at the Monte Vista for Memorial Day weekend. The location of the hotel is great. The service is pretty good. The noise level is completely unacceptable. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the music in the club and noises from the street on nearly all floors. In addition, the police were called on a... More
