My husband and I had been on vacation for a week visiting my family, and decided to add on a couple of extra days for "us time." We wanted to visit Nashville, but didn't want to stay in the city. I found Hastings House in an online B&B search, and knew as soon as I read the details that this... More

We rented both the rooms in this wonderful 1909 home and took my brother and his wife there while doing genealogical touristing in the Murfreesboro, Shelbyville & Nashville areas. Spent two nites there and really enjoyed it. Halloween decorations were up and seemingly were wherever you looked. Loved them. Will echo the kudos for the breakfast each morning. Savory one... More

Having worked at the Tennessee State Library and Archives for 17 years, I have a special place in my heart for genealogists. I never caught "the bug" but understand and appreciate the passion behind the search. More

Jane was the most accommodating host you will find! Her home is so beautiful and in a great location to the downtown square. We stayed in the east lake room and it was very comfortable. She welcomed us in and made us feel at home immediately! Her breakfast was fantastic & we cannot wait to go back and visit again!

My husband and I spent two enjoyable nights at Hastings House. We were on a business trip and wanted the locals' advice for traffic conditions, etc. to make a morning meeting out of town, and of course to enjoy conversation with the hostess, if she's not too busy. It turned out that Jane offered excellent advice on best travel roads... More

It's not hard to enjoy owning a B&B when you have guests as much fun as Sandy & Dwayne! Exploring their website & YouTube videos was very interesting & I look forward to reading their book when it's released in Jan. 2015. More

Jane did a great job of making us feel welcome in her beautiful home filled with Victorian and Eastlake antiques. She prepared hearty and delicious breakfasts and offered helpful sightseeing advice for our trips into Nashville. We stayed in the upstairs room, and it was very roomy with an uber comfy bed! Keep in mind that there are cats in... More

Although I LOVE Murfreesboro and want my guests to appreciate the uniqueness of my adopted city, I lived in Nashville for 23 years & still maintain memberships in cultural organizations & am willing to direct guests to some unusual sites and exhibits in Nashville. More

My wife and I stayed at the Hastings House for almost a week, along with a friend. We enjoyed the accommodations and Jane helped us feel at home. We were often out late and ate a late breakfast but she didn't seem to mind. We enjoyed walking downtown and this was a central location for why we came to Murfreesboro.... More

Janice was a great host. We had a beautiful room and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and the Cinnamon Parfait Yogurt with homemade Granola was to die for. The weather wasn't what we expected for Oct. at 27 degrees but the house was warm and cozy. Plus it is only about 6 blocks from MTSU so it was easy... More

Our stay at Hastings House B & B was everything we wanted it to be! Jane, as a former librarian & avid local historian, was a font of knowledge for us. We came to Murfreesboro for a wedding & since this was our first visit to the South, we wanted to take in as much of the local culture &... More

My wife & I really enjoyed our stay! Our host, Jane, was so hospitable & made us feel at home. She was incredibly knowledgeable of the surrounding area, and all the recommendations & tips she gave us were perfect all weekend. Breakfast was outstanding, and I greatly appreciate her accommodating my wife’s special dietary needs. We’ll definitely be back because... More

The hosts were friendly and very helpful with local historic sites as well as lovely restaurants. They had a glass of wine waiting for us on our arrival, to enjoy on the front porch of their lovely home. Very quiet, secluded room, lovely night of rest.
