Pro: Hotel is quiet, easy highway access. not expensive. Con: Old hotel, old furniture, old mattress (not hard enough), low ceiling is depressing, broken tiles...needs renovation!!! Very bad internet connection/signal, 12.95/day. My laptop continues searching for signal, most of the time, signal strength is only 15% !!!! I wouldn't complain if it is free, but the fact is they charge... more

I stayed here when I was in town for the MA Library Association Conference which was right up the street. This hotel is a nice Marriot hotel in the middle of a sort of transitional neighborhood in Springfield. I was able to find street parking so don't bother with the garage unless you want covered parking. I asked for a... more

I was satisfied with my stay at the Marriott. The hotel is centrally located and had good amenities including a sports bar and full scale restaurant (ordered in one night..the food was fine but not great). There is a large pool and adequate workout facility as well. There is a small mall attached to the facility but the stores were... more

Marriott Gold Member I stay in a lot of Marriott hotels. Location is OK. I arrived after dark in the snow while working for one day in Springfield. Parking is a little wierd. The hotel has self park only and this is in a parking structure that is adjacent to the hotel. Rom was great. Quiet heater, good sound insulation... more

I am thinking of my stay in two parts. First, I got a great price on Priceline, and if I think of it in those terms, I have absolutely no complaints. However, had I paid rack rate for this hotel, I would have had some issues. The hotel is conveniently situated off two major interstates and I had no problem... more

I spent three days at the Springfield Marriott in May 2007 for a business conference. The conference included all of our meals, so we never really left the hotel. I was given a handicap accessible room, so it was right by the elevator. I had a view of the courtyard, which was nice compared to my coworkers' view on the... more

Rooms were very comfortable - loved that the beds were far away from the door, therefore, minimizing any sounds from the hallway. Bath area was a bit small as Marriotts go but the room was very nice. Springfield is not the safest city . . . . so be prepared. Park under lights and use good judgement. A tip: complimentary... more

April 11th through 14th, 2005. There is a saying “we like best that to which we are accustomed.” That may be part of the reason that I really like the Springfield Marriott. I have probably stayed at this property over 100 nights during the past 15 years. All of my stays have been for business. The hotel underwent a complete... more
