We got here in middle of the night, people laying in halways, no keys that worked in our door. Very tired we layed down and fell asleep, when sun came up is when more surprises came. We had a room with no screens on windows, shredded curtains and an unbelievable view of a filthy alley. Mattress was very stained, furniture... More

We booked this hotel via internet, when we arrived they had no record of our booking. The staff members were unhelpful, inconsiderate and just didnt care. Came up with a room that was dirty, tissues, plastic cups and lollie papers under bed. Walls in bathroom dirty. Stunk of cigarette smoke. Very, very noisy. On the upside it was well located... More

This is a cheap, dumpy noisy hotel. I stayed here 3 nights in August 2013, expecting a 2 star experience. That's pretty much what I got. My room was clean enough, the appliances worked, and the paperboard furniture did its job. The sheets were clean, but some of the blankets had cigarette holes as other reviewers noted. There was a... My wife and I recently stayed here for 2 nights in late July 2013. Location is great for walking about town. Apparently seemed to have a very crouded breakfast restaurant each morning but we never ate there. Rooms are OK, not fancy, smelled a bit musty maybe at times smokey. My wife hated the place. Why? Well because of the... More

Staff was fair. Seems they have other things on their mind. Daily room service was just basically minimum effort. Couldn't even get replacement plastic cups. Advertised refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. The refrigerator didn't work. Almost took a threat to get that service fixed. Evening desk clerk didn't know if I could get reimbursed on my credit card if... More

Staff were not very helpful, but the location is right downtown and the price is affordable. If you just plan on sleeping in the room, the Sitka hotel works. You should be out exploring the town if you are on vacation anyways!

This hotel was horrible. The beds had holes in the linens and cigarette holes in the blanket. The staff was useless and the Internet wasn't reliable. I think this hotel mostly rents by the week or month, there are tons of random people wandering and laying down in the halls. Keep searching!

This hotel is quite scary, very dated and old. A lot of history, but has a bad feeling, most of the staff dont seem to speak English, but Russian. Unfriendly. Took two hours to get breakfast, under staffed Felt sorry for the poor waiter.

Sitka was experiencing record heat, and this hotel was not air conditioned. Front desk said they did not have fans. However, after explaining the situation to our server at dinner, a fan magically appeared. Like it's sister in Juneau, this property needs some updating. Was clean enough, but tired. Still, it might be the best choice in Sitka.

I found the Staff at the Sitka Hotel to be very professional, and curteous - Shane runs a top notch Hotel. There is a small Bar downstairs which has a style all its own, the skillet meals in the restaraunt are delicious. Clean rooms, exceptional housekeeping.
