The hostess, Donna was very, very nice. We stayed in the loft and upon arrival learned the TV was on the fritz. The owner did put in a big effort to fix and we were appreciative, but it was just something we agreed we could do without. We stayed two nights and on the second night our air conditioning unit... Great place to stay for bed and breakfast! It's a Victorian style house with a four rooms. We stayed two nights in the Johnson Room, which had a really spacious jacuzzi. The owner was extremely friendly and we enjoyed talking to her. She cooks an incredible breakfast, we were stuffed to the gills. It's a very cozy place and the... More

My husband & I stayed here 1 night during a trip through Shenandoah Park - it was easy to get to & Donna was so sweet & accommodating. We stayed in the loft room upstairs as all other rooms were booked but it was comfortable & clean. Donna gave us dinner suggestions - we went to Artisan's Grille which was... More

After visiting this B&B, I went back and re-read the other reviews, which honestly seem as though they were written by folks who went to a different B&B. We stayed in the rooftop attic room, which was, for lack of a better word, just creepy, and reminiscent of that novel "Flowers In the Attic". Dark wood, heavy red carpeting, and... More

The overall experience was very good. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi on the back deck at night as well as the wonderful breakfast prepared by Donna the next day. We were fortunate to discover (from Donna) that the annual stomping of the grapes at the Wisteria Winery was taking place while we were in... More

We had a great time in Luray. The Woodruff House staff had all kinds of information for the events in town. Free concert was excellent. Dinner recommendations were perfect. We were very impressed with the Woodruff House. Nice people, clean, and they made us feel right at home. Warning..... Breakfast is so big and so good. I could barley finish... More

This place is truly amazing. The house has a very wonderful charm and it is very welcoming and inviting. It was a surprise for my fiance'. Let's just say he was Very Amazed. We were greeted by Mrs. Donna, even though we late I called and she still had everything prepared for us just in case she could not greet... More

Was planing a trip to Luray for three days and after researching different B&B's we decided to stay at the Woodruff House. The reviews are spot on. We were greeted by Donna who was so sweet and welcomed us and right away we felt like we were at home. She showed us around the house and then to our room.... More

I can only repeat what the recent reviews have already said. Donna is a fabulous host, from the minute we arrived until we departed after her fabulous breakfast she couldn't have done more for us. The rooms are super and the whole house is tastefully decorated. If you want a plain motel , fine but if you want to visit... More
