My wife and I stayed at the Cast-A-Way Cabins called Reel-It-In. The cabin had 2 bedrooms with a loft that we used as a third bedroom. It has a large bathroom and a kitchen. The hot tub was an added bonus as was the wi-fi and satellite TV! We saw bears, deer and many other awesome wildlife. We were only... More

We stayed in the Sierra cabin . Yes the photos on website are a true picture of the interior but when it was clean !!! Had to wash all the kitchen utensils before we could eat, it was very off putting. Under the sofa seats were disgusting covered in hairs it was horrible, and the place generally hadn't been dusted... The pictures above are quite deceiving in the sense that all 5 cabins the owners have, are rolled into one review site and they have took the best parts of each one, for example, the cabin provided a hot tub that looked nothing like the clean pictures above, but was quite dirty and grimy. Although, it was quite relaxing but... More

We stayed at the Angler Cabin 20 miles outside of Luray. It was quite a drive, half on gravel road, so make sure you pack EVERYTHING you could possibly need! We went back into town once to go to the caverns and grab a few supplies, but the drive is beautiful none-the-less. We had access to a private ramp into... More

I came here for a girls weekend getaway. One of the girls had been here a few years ago and promised us a relaxing weekend in the woods - these cabins delivered! Upon entering the cabin we noticed how clean it was - always a relief! These cabins aren't large by any means but are laid out well and have... More

It was real rough trying to find a last minute camp site on Labor Day weekend but we did at Shenandoah River Outfitters. The women on the phone were not very polite when I mentioned we would be coming in after dark from NJ. She said we'd have to be super quiet because it's quiet hours, however when we got... More

We hired a raft for the 4 of us when we visited Luray in July. The river was at its calmest, but we spent a pleasant 3 hours floating along with only one set of small rapids to raise the blood pressure. The river itself doesn't look particularly clean and the few places to stop were covered in litter so... More

Rustic, Simple, out-of-the-way, no cell phone service..........Perfect!!!!!! Stayed at the Osprey, Blue Heron, and Wood duck for a work retreat. One minute walk from the cabins to the riverfront revealed a flowing piece of heaven-on-earth. Access was not bad and shallows provided a calm and tranquil place to veg out without drowning. The only things that will disturb your peace... More

We stayed at the Osprey and really enjoyed the quaint, bare bones cottage and the great location. Easy check-in was great on a busy holiday weekend. The grill and fire pits were great for gathering around after a long day of tubing. Plenty of places on the way to the cabins to get firewood as well.

Everything said "cabins on the river" but you couldn't see the river until you walked through a mosquito infested woods. Every shelf in the cabins had dust and dead bugs on them. I had to clean before I could put things away. Our family rented 3 Cabins and 2 of the hot tubs were not hot and ready to use... More
