Wonderful stay at a beautiful bed and breakfast. Christa was wonderful and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the Sleeping Beauty room which had a spectacular view. Coffee was outside our door each morning before breakfast was served. The town of Luray is about a 20 minute drive and has quaint restaurants and shops. Our favorites were... More

We called late, but managed to get a wonderful room with a large balcony and jacuzzi. The inn is modern and located in a very private mountain setting. Christa, the owner, treated us like family and very helpful in pointing out the best places to eat in the town of Lurray. Breakfast was outstanding. We lingered at the table for... More

Had a wonderful time meeting and chatting with Christa, the place is beautiful, the setting serene and everything we could have hoped for in a couple's escape. Appreciated the dinner suggestion over the mountain at the Thornton River Grille - great food. Can't wait to go back!

No keys, no separate tables in the dining room -- Christa is a one woman operation, and she really makes you feel at home. Beautiful scenery, a friendly dog, and three lovely suites. Highly recommended for a private getaway.

We absolutely loved our two-night stay in the Sleeping Beauty room! I'll start with the room. It was clean and well-maintained. The bed was so comfy with ample blankets and soft pillows. Our room had a nice big TV, easily visible from the bed, but you can also watch from the large couch. The bathroom was clean and a good... More

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend at this amazingly beautiful bed and breakfast and had an amazing time. Christa was an excellent host, and the property is extremely inviting and has a great view of the mountains. A perfect place to get out of the city and relax. Also, we are a gay couple and were a bit nervous... More

We stayed at "Once Upon a Mountain" for two nights and had a very good time. The rooms were beautifully furnished, the garden was very nice and the location and view in the middle of the nature exactly what we wanted. The owner was very helpful giving us advice on where to go in the area. She also offered her... More

My girlfriend and I just spent the most amazing weekend at Once Upon a Time. From the moment we booked this B&B to the final good bye, our hostess Christa made us feel at home. Her breakfasts were fantastic, she laid out fire making materials and smores makings to use in the fire pit, and her home was beautiful. The... More

I was attracted to Once Upon a Mountain by all the great reviews and it lived up to all the great comments! Christa is so charming, friendly, helpful...I could go on! Communication with her is great. We stayed in the Princess and The Pea room which was perfect for our romantic getaway. The hot tub is right out the door... More

We had a great time at Once Upon a Mountain this weekend. Christa was a great host, making us feel very welcome in her home and making a great (and large!) breakfast. The property views are fantastic, we had a nice time making a bonfire with the other guests, the jacuzzi was lovely....all around a great time. We stayed in... More
