We recently spent four wonderful nights in the Emma Ruffner Rogers room at Piney Hill. The room was bright and comfortable with great country and mountain views. It even contains a sampler of Emma's dated 1875. The B & B is homey and decorated with great attention to detail. The setting is tranquil; while enjoying the rockers on the porch... More

My partner and I stayed at the Emma Ruffner room from Mon-Thurs and loved our time at Piney Hill. There's a reason why they have been the #1 B&B in Luray for so long and are so highly recommended - Hank and Wiley have a ton of experience, know the area like the back of their hands, and are incredible... We absolutely adored our stay here at Piney Hill. We felt completely at home and very comfortable during our time here. From the moment we got to the property, we knew we had made the right decision. Upon checking-in, Hank gave us wonderful explanations of all of the nearby restaurants and attractions which was wonderful for helping us plan our... More

We stayed at Piney Hill on a Wed & Thurs. Wiley met us upon arrival, gave us a brief history & immediately gave us great recommendations for hiking and dinner. The home is very comfortable and cute! Our room was simply amazing, having anything one would need or desire. The farm is wonderful, with a great sitting porch, hammock and... More

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful long weekend staying in a cottage at Piney Hill Bed & Breakfast. Wiley and Hank were incredibly gracious hosts who really thought of every detail in order to make our stay special. A very neat and clean cottage, an explanation of the area restaurants (with menus), a local map noting points of... More

Piney Hill was our basecamp for a three day visit to Shenandoah National Park. We visited the Luray Caverns the first day and were blown away by their beauty and the vastness of the cave. Don't let the full parking lot and other attractions distract you. The caverns are a must see if you are in the area. Our innkeepers... More

Hank and Wiley were exceptional hosts and provided superb information on the local restaurants and attractions. Very relaxing and... More

We stayed for two nights in the Emma room for our first anniversary, and were extremely pleased with the place. PROS: Wiley and Hank's personalized, considerate care and (as everyone before me has mentioned) attention to detail; the beautiful property and mountain views; modern shower with great shower pressure; historical house with charm; cleanliness; great couples massage option (we passed... I traveled to Luray to see the caverns and do some hiking. A major high point of the trip was the Piney Hill Bed & Breakfast! The attention to detail about the accommodations was exceptional. Additionally the meals provided were very well prepared -- I was impressed with every aspect of this establishment.

Wanted to try a B & B It was a trip to the country that was very nice. The hosts were great and helpful! Or room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless!! The drive to it is a beautiful country ride. There are cows all around the site which adds a lot of charm. The food was excellent especially the fruit... More
