My husband & I stayed in the cottage behind the main building for the weekend. It was comfortable, quiet and private. Ann & her assistant, Daryl, were the most wonderful hosts! So gracious, attentive, friendly and entertaining. Wine & snacks in our rooms AND delicious breakfasts. Beautiful inn, refurbished & redecorated. Perfect location! All these and a small town atmosphere... More

I just spent three days at the Inn and can't brag on this enough. The rooms are charming, clean and comfortable. The Innkeeper Ann is a fabulous host. She goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable. The breakfast is superb and prepared by Ann with only fresh produce. Really so delicious with such a variety of fresh fruits, homemade... The Inn of the Shenandoah, formerly the Victorian Inn, has been taken over by new owners and the results provide a most pleasant stay in a charming, clean, well-maintained B&B in Luray right in the heart of town. Ann M. will be there to welcome you and show you the house and your room. We stayed in the Willow Room,... More

Ann and Darryl made our stay a very special time. We had researched the local B&B's and we made an excellent choice. Our room was perfect and we couldn't asked for a better time. I would strongly recommend this experience to anyone coming to this area. The food was great and we will be back! Thanks again Ann and Darryl... More

If you are looking for nice, clean and comfortable bed and breakfast in Luray, VA. I truly recommend The Inn of the Shenandoah. It is so much better than staying at a hotel. The host/innkeeper name Anne was so sweet, she made me and my husband feel really welcomed and right at home. Anne really went out of her way... More

The wife and I just spent the night while in Luray visiting family. The management has done a great job renovating since we last saw it. Still, a little work needs to be done. The downstairs sitting rooms are perfect for relaxing and the stained glass windows were a subject for discussion. It was interesting to note that the clear... More

from he phone call before to the day we left we where treated extremely well. Ann cared for needs, no apples or peaches for breakfast due to an allergy and to what you want to drink with breakfast. Food was excellent and more than enough. Room was very clean and well stocked. The updates where nice and she is is... More

My boyfriend and I were the first guests to stay at the Inn of the Shenandoah under the new management (Formerly the Victorian Inn.) Our stay was nothing less than perfect. Anne, the world renowned inn-keeper went above and beyond to make us feel at home! All of the rooms in the Inn have been recently renovated and are very... More

Anyone reading these reviews should note that the Inn recently came under new management. Ann Merrigan, the new innkeeper, is lovely, and it's worth staying there just to talk to her (she's very warm and funny and has done lots of interesting things!) and enjoy her excellent homemade breakfast (all fresh ingredients-- homemade waffles with peaches, cream, and syrup; sausages;... Needed to escape from from the demands of the 21st century life in the city. Luray was not my first choice, however a friend insisted my husband and I must try what they called a hidden treasure. I said I already live in an old house, why would I pay to stay in one? As soon as we arrived I... More
