I feel compelled to add my review after having read a very negative review of the property and its ownership and staff. My family has enjoyed the pleasure of staying here on three different occasions. Once in the summer, once in the fall and once in the winter. We enjoyed the lodge and its surroundings so much that we wanted... More

When I was a child, my family would come to this lodge every chance we could get. I hadn't been there in years and since it has been sold and is under new ownership. Early this year I was in need of that nostalgic feeling so we decided to check it out. Not only did they maintain the quaintness and... More

my stay at the Buckeye Tree Lodge provided me with an extra ordinary room with a path to the river outside my back porch.. was needing some 'nature' time to destress..the staff was most accomodating and helpful..the breakfast basket was a nice touch, esp. the coffee grinder for great bean coffee. the lodge also had free telephone for long distance... The client was charged $20.00 for a wall clock that someone in his party of 7 people broke and then concealed in the bottom of a trash can. When our housekeepers discovered the broken clock, we called and emailed the client regarding the issue and the charge. As a courtesy, I personally made a determination to only charge the client... Brilliantly located and reasonably priced chalet-style motel right by the Sequoia Park entrance at Three Rivers (probably less than one mile). We stayed in the Sequoia Inn across the road while friends stayed in the Lodge. The rooms in the Lodge seemed rather cramped but the Sequoia Inn is 1-2 bedroom chalets with kitchens and patios, so stay in the... More

Went with family for our Sequoia trip and stayed at the lodge which is located literally minutes from the entrance to the national park. Three Rivers is a little bit spread out, but this location is closest to the park and right on the Kaweah River. It's a small lodge, which we loved-so you're not dealing with alot of people... More

I can't add anymore to the reviews posted below but do want to point out that the motel is very nice and in a great location. Just minutes from the park entrance (and yes, it will be almost an hour to Lodgepole, but the Foothills Visitor Center is close to the entrance) and right beside the Kaweah River. Getting to... We arrived at the Buckeye Tree Lodge on our roundtrip to California. Located a 45 minutes drive from Sequoia National Park (8 miles on a windy road into the mountains) and at the end of the little village Three Rivers we found a very nice receptionist welcoming us and giving useful orientation before entering the national park on the next... The pictures on the website are somewhat misleading. One shows the back of the place which is prettier then the front, but I was okay with this. The view of the river is what sold me on the place. I read the reviews before booking so I was aware that the lodge needed updating, but I was concerned about the... More

Nice place, a little dated but that is part of the charm, the staff was great, nice pool, great roaring river right off of the balcony, reasonable prices. We would definitely stay there again.
