Wonderful location about as close as you can stay before entering Sequoia National Park. Very helpful staff, with tips on where to eat and which restaurants are pricey. Free wifi, which is good because there's usually no cell service. But to compensate, the lodge allows free phone calls, a nice touch. There's a breakfast put in your room each night... More

We stayed in the "Alta" room which is connected to another room in the "cabins" across the street. I've included pictures to show the huge front porch, with plenty of seating, the living area, kitchen and bedroom. This is very affordable at $115, Sunday night in September. The kitchen was fully stocked to cook if necessary. The bedroom had 2... More

We had one of the rooms in the three-plex across the street from the office. We felt right-at-home, because of the personal touch in the room and had a pleasant stay. Employees were helpful and courteous. One star off, because they wouldn't let us take some ice for our cooler. This is a pet peeve of mine. We try to... More

We stayed both in the hotel and in their cabins across the road since it was full. From outside it seems rustic, all made of wood and nice but it's really expensive and rooms are dark and rather small. It isn't that clean either! If you happen to stay in a room/cabin by the pool be ready to hear noise... More

The lodge was just 1/4 mile from the entrance of Sequoia National Park which was very convenient. The rooms were quaint, but clean and had a close proximity (wading distance) to the Kaweah River. A great restaurant is adjacent to the lodge that serves first-class meals with first-class service. The bar offers just about any libation you could conceive. Haileigh... More

A main advantage of the lodge is the ability to be close to the park entrance. They are extremely friendly and thoughtful at the front dest. They are also spot on with the goody basket awaiting the tired family after a day among the trees, hiking, etc. The pool is just the ticket to relax. The fridge and microwave are... More

Like all the other reviews staff was great and eager to please, decor out of date but the location trumps all. We had an issue with our A/C on one of the hottest weeks and no other rooms were available. The staff was claiing around trying to locate us a room and Lodge owner came to our room offered his... My husband and I stayed here 2000 so a while ago but we loved it and the staff were so nice. It is right near the entrance to the park. The restaurant next store is ok a bit pricey for me we only ate there the night we arrived.

Just stayed at the Buckeye Tree Lodge with my family of five (three teenagers). The best money ever spent! Great location near Sequoia. Great fun at the Lodge with pool and "Nature's" waterslide in your backyard (the Kaweah River). AND, most importantly, fantastic hospitality by the whole staff! Sequoia National Park is amazing, but my three kids were having a... More

The location was great for accessing Sequoia National Park, only a few minutes from the entrance. The staff were very accommodating of us even when we were running a bit late. The bed was comfortable, the room was nice. The view was excellent from our room out on the river, though we were in the park most of our time... More
