We had a family reunion at Buckeye Tree Lodge where we rented pretty much every room at the Lodge and the sister property, Sequoia Village Inn, across the way. The staff was incredibly accommodating as various guests checked in at odd hours. We saw their groundskeeper every day and the office was open promptly at 8:00am. The children enjoyed playing... We have stayed here twice now and enjoyed our time at the hotel with cook outs on the river and having pool time with the family. The owner is a great guy that will accommodate you the best he can. Well maintained property that allows your pets.

Perfectly located as Gateway to Sequoia National Park. We arrived when the reception was closed (check-in is until 21:00) but they left some instructions at the reception door about our room and the key. We were so relieved we had our room even if arriving after check-in time!! Clean room, very comfortable bed, good bath amenities. The room has a... More

Small hotel, close to the entrance of Sequioa NP. Rooms are nice and clean, but could use some refreshment in paint and maintenance. Friendly people and a nice pool with sundecks and chairs. Very nice location on the riverside, during our stay a bear walk through the river while a lot of people were watching, amazing!

We just returned from a fabulous, trip to Sequoia Nat. park and Crystal Caves. We highly recommend this trip. While exploring, we stayed at The Buckeye Tree Lodge. We arrived to the smell ofpumpkin muffins being baked for the guests! Our cabin was great. They live up to everything they claim on their website. The pool was very clean. The view... More

My family of five were on a grand adventurous road trip of the American West and this was one of our stops. Since we stayed at so many places in the course of 3 weeks, it makes it easy to compare hotels. We stayed in the Forest Cabin, part of the Sequoia Village Inn. This is not a place for... More

You can't get any closer to Sequoia than BTL. Staff was super nice and helpful and the location along the river was very peaceful and scenic. Homemade muffins, juice and coffee in the morning were an added plus. Everything was well-maintained and the kids enjoyed the pool after a visit to the park.

We booked last minute and am so glad we did! What a location! And that river! Take a bath! The hotel/motel was old but cosy. The deck was fantastic and we sat there watching the scenic view. The staff was nice and the price ok. Fruit and soda for breakfast. Great spot when hiking in the area!

We loved our stay at the lodge. Our room looked out on the mountains. We could sit outside and enjoy the view and even saw a bear at the river during sunset. Lovely breakfast basket in the room. Very close to Sequoia National park. Coffee and tea facilities. Fridge in the room.

Stayed here President's Day weekend. Our room faced the river and despite not being a huge raging river due to the drought it was still a great and relaxing stay. Each day you're provided with juice, fruit and fresh baked muffin. The rooms are clean and rustic. There are picnic tables and grills on the grounds if you prefer to... More
