I loved this hotel. Quiet and comfy. The pool area is very nice. My husband, daughter and I stayed here August 2014 after visiting Sequoia National Park. I liked the little breakfast area with the coffee grinder and treats. Bath large and modern. Personally, I prefer places like this to fancier hotels.

Rustic lodge in the mountains with an awesome view next to the river. If fact, one can hear the river in your room. Businesses in Three Rivers are spread out over a number of miles. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

What a great find! This little hotel backs onto a gorgeous river, has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff. Our kids loved the yard with the swing and couldn't get enough of exploring the rocks at the river. The room was cozy, clean and warm, beds comfy, and the breakfast basket a very thoughtful touch. The restaurant nearby... More

The Buckeye Tree Lodge advertises itself as the closest motel to Sequoia Park. It is, but only by a few 100 feet. There are other lodges which are also less than half a mile from the park entrance. However, it is a good place to stay but it is plain, dated and a bit warn but VERY clean. We had... More

I booked this place after seeing it pop up online after a search of my own, and I booked it on their website. I liked that it was only 1/4 from the entrance to the park, and photos of sunshine and grass were too good to pass up. While the Lodge is somewhat antiquated and could use a facelift, who... More

We stayed one night here as we were taking a road trip and had built in some time to visit Sequoia National Park. This lodge is so convenient for the entrance to the park; it's literally a few miles down the road. It was priced well ($122 incl. tax for one night) and the room was well equipped. We had... More

We made a last minute decision on the day of our travel, and we booked the king suite (#2) via the lodge's own website. I was worried that it was too last minute, so I called the lodge to double-check the reservation. Thankfully everything was falling in the right places, and the owners were giving us detailed answers to our... More

Make no mistake, my reference to 'sore eyes' is due to my lifetime in New York City surrounded by buildings and concrete! The Buckeye Tree Lodge had everything that I was looking for; spaciousness, trees, rocks (actually boulders!), beautiful star gazing and being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the river outside the door. The Buckeye Tree Lodge was... More

We did a 2 week road trip of California and this was, by far and away, the hotel that surprised me the most, and probably my favourite hotel of all we stayed in during our trip. After a lovely drive from Las Vegas going high into the hills and windy roads, we ended up in the quiet haven of Three... More

We weren't able to get into the Sequoia Natl Park because of snow, so we went back to our room with a fabulous view of the pristine river (and a crane!) and just thoroughly relaxed before dinner next door, which was also very enjoyable. While the room was really very clean and the linens were high quality, it could do... More

Paul W, Thank you for taking the time to review our Lodge. I am thrilled to read that you enjoyed your stay and especially the views to the river. It sounds like you got to see the Great Blue Heron that frequents our back yard (or possibly any number of other birds that are omnipresent here). We take housekeeping matters... More
