Make no mistake, my reference to 'sore eyes' is due to my lifetime in New York City surrounded by buildings and concrete! The Buckeye Tree Lodge had everything that I was looking for; spaciousness, trees, rocks (actually boulders!), beautiful star gazing and being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the river outside the door. The Buckeye Tree Lodge was... More

We did a 2 week road trip of California and this was, by far and away, the hotel that surprised me the most, and probably my favourite hotel of all we stayed in during our trip. After a lovely drive from Las Vegas going high into the hills and windy roads, we ended up in the quiet haven of Three... More

Tom A, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. I am always thrilled when our guests love it here as much as we do. The views from our patios, balconies and rooms are amazing and I am glad you were able to both greatly enjoy the view and share your experience. Since you stayed in... More

We weren't able to get into the Sequoia Natl Park because of snow, so we went back to our room with a fabulous view of the pristine river (and a crane!) and just thoroughly relaxed before dinner next door, which was also very enjoyable. While the room was really very clean and the linens were high quality, it could do... More

Paul W, Thank you for taking the time to review our Lodge. I am thrilled to read that you enjoyed your stay and especially the views to the river. It sounds like you got to see the Great Blue Heron that frequents our back yard (or possibly any number of other birds that are omnipresent here). We take housekeeping matters... More

We were the first visitors (4 adults and a baby) in their new "River house" and we loved it! The house and all the different rooms are spacious and very comfortable. They provide a fully equipped kitchen, fresh bed and bath linen, wood for the fireplace and a stunning view on the river. There was no touristic information in the... More

Proximity to the Park was great and the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant next door was ok (not the best price for money). The rooms have micro/fridge so bring food and eat out back of your room with the Kaweah river as your view. Great price and service, would stay again!

Although people generally stay here on their way into the park, the surroundings of this lodge could make it a destination unto itself for people who enjoy sycamore trees, chaparral plants, and a fast falling river. The room itself feels like a beige time capsule from a few decades ago and was not as clean as I would have liked.... More

We weren't expecting too much when we booked into Buckeye Tree Lodge for two nights....so we were nicely surprised when we found the rooms to be comfortable and clean, each with a little balcony so you can sit outside and enjoy the creek running by the hotel and the lovely scenery. It's only a couple of minutes drive from the... More

A nice village in the forest, several hundreds meters only from Sequoya NP entrance. The hotel includes several cabins under the trees. Our cabin was small but comfortable and clean, with private outdoor yard with fireplace. The equipment is not new but fully functionally, including kitchenette and shower (very narrow and dark). The Three rivers is a place with a... More

This is a super place just outside Sequoia National Park. The price is reasonable and breakfast is continental style left in the room. There is proper roast coffee to use in the coffee maker - a lovely touch. The view from our room was superb - mountain, river, garden. Parking is easy - just in front of our room on... More

When I go on road trips through national parks, my first preference is to stay at lodges inside the park. But because of last minute planning i sometimes end up with motels or lodges outside the park and I have come to not expect much from these places. Just a place to get some rest and move on. This week... More
