My husband and I stayed here 2000 so a while ago but we loved it and the staff were so nice. It is right near the entrance to the park. The restaurant next store is ok a bit pricey for me we only ate there the night we arrived.

Just stayed at the Buckeye Tree Lodge with my family of five (three teenagers). The best money ever spent! Great location near Sequoia. Great fun at the Lodge with pool and "Nature's" waterslide in your backyard (the Kaweah River). AND, most importantly, fantastic hospitality by the whole staff! Sequoia National Park is amazing, but my three kids were having a... More

The location was great for accessing Sequoia National Park, only a few minutes from the entrance. The staff were very accommodating of us even when we were running a bit late. The bed was comfortable, the room was nice. The view was excellent from our room out on the river, though we were in the park most of our time... More

We stayed at the lodge on our way to seqouia forest. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room overlooking the river with a nice little patio. The in room fridge, coffee maker (with fresh beans and a grinder!) and fruit basket were such nice touches! The only things that would make this place a 5 are:... More

As another writer said, the rooms are dated. They do have flat screens in at least one room that has Satellite tv. I wish that they had more to offer in terms of amenities-they provided a fruit basket and a gas station pastry per day. Rooms also had a dated coffee maker plus grinder for their provided coffee beans. I... More

Stayed here for a night after doing a whizz through the sequoia national park. Rooms are (as noted elsewhere) a bit dated but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The back lawn runs down to the river and the terrace is well cared for. Reception rent DVDs at a very reasonable $3 a night - but don't expect the latest releases. We... More

Right off the entrance gate to Sequoia, an hour drive to the main sights. Nicely overlooking the river with some pretty mountains around. Nice pool which the kids enjoyed. We had a mother bear with two cubs in the parking lot which was amazing. Rooms however were quite dated - 70ies style - but clean. No real breakfast just some... More

We are a family of 5 just returning from our trip to se sequoia national park and we stayed one night at buckeye. We loved it! Our room was more spacious than any best western or related motel. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was as well. They provided fresh coffee beans and grinder to make yourself a... More

The Buckeye Lodge was recommended in Fodors and well rated on Trip Advisor and other sites. I was a bit surprised when we checked in and both the exterior and interior were cement block. (I don't think I have stayed in a cement block room since college!) The pool looked very nice, although we arrived too late to use it,... More

Just outside the entrance to Sequoia National Park. A nice room with pine paneling and pine furniture, and a balcony that overlooks the rushing Kaweah river. At check in I got a basket with fruit and muffins for the following day's breakfast. It had all the amenities -- microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, free wifi, -- and yet still managed to...
