This is a magical place; my family spent two incredible nights and three days here and we really felt like we were at a close relatives house. Everything is perfect, from breakfast that we opted for to the cozy house and the fire lit by the river every night. If you're looking for the perfect getaway with the family, this... More

We had three nights here and opted to stay in the hideaway We LOVED it! Such a cute place, super clean and couldn't ask for friendlier welcomes. Barbecues by the river, Campfires, listening to the river, wading in the river. Just idyllic. Thanks Margaret and co!

We stayed at Rio Sierra with our 4 children on October 4-6. We just had a perfect week-end. The rooms are well decorated, but what makes this place so unique is the friendly service and the amazing location. The river is beautiful and so much fun to swim in. Our kids had a fantastic time. We even spotted a black... More

The title of this review was my wife's comment on about the second day of our stay at this great little place. We stayed for 3 nights in mid Sept 2013. It doesn't look much from the outside to be honest - but as they say appearances can be deceptive. Quirky is a description others have used - and I'd... More

Stayed there for one night only, but it was really great. Amazing location beside the river, friendly people, lovely room. And it´s close to the National Park. Would definitely stay there again (and for more than one day).

I'm really thrown off by all these great reviews. I kept thinking, "did all these people stay at the same place?" I found the Rio Sierra to be friendly but strange and dirty. We stayed 2 nights in the Panorama Room, which is literally a big room containing a kitchen and beds - you walk in to a kitchen, then... More

We are so sorry that our usually first-rate housekeeping missed the mark so badly for these guests. We will leave to others to decide on the style points raised by this review. But we will take every one of the cleaning notes to heart, as we work constantly to deliver fresh clean rooms every day to every guest. Thanks for... More

stayed in this really quirky and original retreat and enjoyed every minute of it. It is a great location for Sequoia National Park and a great get away from it all location. The room and bed were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and we used the river beach which was just lovely after a 5 hour drive from... More

We spent 2 nights at Rio Sierra fm 8/16-18/13. The park is very accessible to and from the riverhouse. It is very quiet and tucked away from the park crowd. We swim at the river pools and hang out on the beach most afternoons to beat the heat. Mars and her crews were very welcoming and friendly. BBQ and bonfire... More

Such a beautiful spot on the river. The Riverhouse is amazing - everything you could possibly need. Utterly charming hosts (Thanks Mars, Chuck and Tom).
