My wife and I love this hotel. The managers, planning staff, and hotel staff are all great. The traditional rooms are very nice now that they've been renovated. The fancier rooms are incredible. We decided to get married there and they did a great job.

This hotel always holds up to the great reviews it gets. Its location is perfect for strolling the beautiful historic Santa Fe Plaza, the rooms are decorated with that warm Southwest flair, their main restaurant, La Plazuela, is center stage and their menu has something for everyone. We parked in their large parking garage and never got back in the... More

We have stayed at La Fonda multiple times. This visit exceded the others. The valet's were always available and helpful when needed. The front desk staff lacked the arrogant attitudes of prevous visits. The concierge was helpful and pleasant. Housekeeping was thorough and efficient. La Plazuela was wonderful as usual and so was the La Fiesta Lounge. The only adverse... More

We are frequent Santa Fe visitors and always feel that no trip there is complete without a visit to La Fonda, for drinks, lunch or dancing in the La Fiesta lounge, or for dinner in La Plazuela restaurant, or just to sit in the lobby absorbing the essence of Santa Fe. We love the armosphere and ambience of this hotel.... More

We just completed out third stay at the La Fonda. As with our other visits, everything was perfect. From the friendly and efficient front desk staff to the historic nature of the hotel to the nicely appointed room, our expectations were exceeded. The location is perfect - once we parked, we did not need our car for our entire stay... More

Over the years I've stayed at many hotels in the Santa Fe area. This now ranks as my favorite, so wish I would have stayed there sooner. Great location, within a stones throw of the downtown Plaza and restaurants. But staying there you might not want to leave as the hotel restaurant is great, and the hotel lobby and halls... More

Stayed here for one night in December 2014. Room was on the 4th floor with view of rooftop area. The renovation of the hotel room exceeded my expectations with beautiful original southwest art work on the wall and beautiful hand painted headboards. An attractive area rug covered the beautiful tile underneath on the floor. Thoughtful ledges were placed in the... More

We were ready to love La Fonda before we even crossed its threshold. The day before our flight to Santa Fe, Fermin, the front desk manager at the hotel, called to say he’d read in our reservation request that this was to be a wedding anniversary trip and asking if we’d like a bottle of champagne OR wine in our... tHE La Fonda is a visit to a grand tour of the past. If you are passing thru New Mexico, U must stop & spend the night at the La Fonda in Santa Fe on the square. Spend time in the lobby & take it all in. The bar & lounge are dream of the past, close your eyes and... More

I didn't stay at the hotel but the rooftop bar was recommended to me as the best place to watch a sunset in downtown Santa Fe. It was beautiful and other than some noisy patrons, was fairly serene. Good place to end a day. It does get cool after the sunset sets so bring a sweater or windbreaker.
