We had a lovely dinner on the outdoor patio. Food and service were excellent. We also enjoyed drinks in the bar area which was very tastefully decorated with beautiful furniture and artwork! Very nice servers, beautiful ptoperty and lovely views from the patio.

We are Starwood Platinum, so always try to stay in their property. la Posada was a little different, in that it is not a big modernized hotel with identical rooms. It is a beautiful place with personal patios and lovely southwest decor. I agree that check-in is a little difficult, but we were treated with courtesy and attention. The concierge,... More

I think your review is very accurate. This is a hotel with great history, romance and charm and guests that appreciate this always seem to enjoy their visits. It's definitely not a cookie cutter corporate hotel and all 157 rooms and suites are different! Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. More

Check in area is not well-defined and you have to sit at a small desk during the whole check in/check out process. It’s a bit awkward and uncomfortable compared to the many other places we’ve stayed. Because we were travelling on a week-long vacation, our vehicle was packed with bags and luggage. We didn’t realize until we arrived that there... More

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. Parking at most Santa Fe hotels is in short supply and the only way we can accommodate all guests is by valet parking which utilizes multiple areas that would not be appropriate for guests to access directly. We are in the process of upgrading our internet service. Apparently... More

I am in my sixth day of a business trip/meetings and its a nice place. Its different because you are not in a traditional hotel with elevators and identical rooms. All the rooms are spread out throughout several acres and each room is a single adobe room with Southwest charm and full amenities. The registration area is awkward with desks for... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide such a comprehensive review. We're a little confused by your comment about restaurant menus. We have two restaurants; Julia and Viga Bar & Grill which also includes our beautiful patio. The menus at these two venues are completely different. Our historic Staab House bar offers a separate bar menu of lighter food... More

It's a beautiful property, with rooms spread across the property set along pathways and within walking distance to the square. The good: it's well located, the beds are comfortable, the room was large and there was small terrace in front with chairs for sitting/reading/relaxing. The bad: first floor rooms are at eye-level with no privacy. You must close your shades... More

Thank you for your comments. Yes, internet is an issue primarily because of the adobe construction of La Posada. We've engineered a very expensive fix that we are presently working on. Interesting comment about the first floor rooms; Those are actually the most requested rooms by people who want to leave the blinds open and see what's going on. More

The history of this house is what attracted us to ask for a tour. We will be staying in Spring 2016. The concierge gave us a great tour. The following is taken from their website: The Staab Family In 1882, a prosperous merchant named Abraham Staab built his three-story brick mansion - in the French Second Empire-style - on property... Thank you for the kind words. What sets La Posada apart from other resorts is the amazing history and charm. Some of our units are more than 100 years old. And no 2 of our 157 rooms and suites are identical. More

We stayed in a lovely and very comfortable suite. From talking to other guests, it sounds like they've made a ton of updates and improvements in the last few months. Earlier negative reviews are totally off-base from the experience we had. Service was great, all the furniture at the pool was brand new, and they were in stringing beautiful lights... More

I stayed for three nights end of June. In advance I requested a safer non-ground floor room as I was a solo female traveler. Also, feather allergy so requested no feathers in advance as well. Was staying for business with a rather large crowd at this hotel. Location great, about 20 minutes from airport in Santa Fe (now that's another... More

Thank you for your review. We certainly apologize for the confusion over feathers and we'll discuss this with our team. Not sure where the confusion occurred over whether you were on the first or second floors but in the hotel industry, upper floors are always considered safer. In fact, many group contracts require upper floor rooms. Somewhat irrelevant in Santa... More

The buildings in this hotel are really nice and clean as are the hotel grounds but the service challenges are many. I went here with my wife as a change from our usual hotel and we liked the location. I arrived by train with a baritone saxophone and was in need of a ride to the hotel. The receptionist was... This hotel is transitioning to Starwood. The patio eating experience was always one of those special Santa Fe experiences. Beautiful setting, great service and very good food. All that has changed under new management. The menu has an odd collection of dishes that make no sense for Santa Fe dining. It is not their main dining room menu as it... More

We have to respectfully disagree with your comments on our patio dining experience. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads and entrees such as USDA Prime steaks, chicken, salmon and house smoked pork tenderloin. Nothing weird about that. If you were expecting New Mexican cuisine our guests - including locals - have voted over whelming against that. More
