We loved this place for its reminders of what traveling used to be like. If you are looking for a modern ritzy hotel this is not the place. If you are looking for a clean, nostalgic hotel, really close to the Plaza then this is the place. The room was clean, had good heating/cooling and a decent bed. It still has... More

Garrett's is nice, clean and pet friendly! Our room had a fridge and microwave along with the coffee pot. Great location - Walking distance to shops, museums, restaurants, and bars. Just two blocks from the plaza and the Canyon Rd galleries. Lots of convenient places to walk your dog along the river.

We didn't have a reservation in Santa Fe, and were happy to find this hotel near the plaza and restaurants. It is an older hotel with a newer lobby. The price was reasonable, but they do not include breakfast and charged $7.39 (plus tax?) per night for parking. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. The first night we... More

My first stay at Garrett's.I am already planning another stay in the near future. The room was clean, comfortable and homespun.Only one regret we did not eat at the on site restaurant. The beds were more than adequate after two days of non stop sightseeing. There was no need to drive as the location is convenient to the Plaza.

My 1st stay in this hotel was ok, we checked in and out with out much issue. My 2nd stay was a really bad experience. The room I was in was really out dated, Tile crumbling and just a dirty feeling. I had some issues with the reservation that I made with the front desk manager, When I checked in... More

We stay at Garrett's every time we visit Santa Fe. It isn't the Broadmoor but it is very clean and right in the center of Old Town. Walking distance to everything in the town Plaza. Parking is plentiful, which is a rare find in that part of town. All the rooms have outside entrances. It's VERY affordable. We look at... More

If you are lucky enough to go the Santa Fe for a day or two, stay at Garrett's. OK, so it hasn't been remodeled in 40 years, it's clean and close. The towels are too small, but there is a great restaurant on site and the parking is safe. You can walk to The Plaza and hundreds of stores and... More

Two pluses: location and the Santa Fe Bite being on site. Apparently this hotel/motorcourt was built in 1956? And we would venture a guess that the bathroom was original tile, tub and sink along with the bath towels being slightly larger than a kitchen towel and so worn that one could barely attempt to dry themselves. While the room appeared... More

The "hotel" is more a "motel" but it is sooooo close to the plaza. You pay for parking but it is relatively cheap. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean. The coffee in the lobby was cold and not very good which was a shame as I never like to use the in room coffee... More

I was told to book this for a one night stay as it was close to the plaza. We actually went up to the room, opened the door, looked at the bathroom and went back to the office and cancelled. The carpet was dirty, dated maroon color with wrinkles. The wall paper was peeling off of the wall and the... More
