Just returned from lovely Santa Fe where we stayed at the Inn of the Governors. We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor's high ratings. The Inn was all that we hoped for - the location is perfect, very close to the historic plaza, but not on a main road, so pretty quiet. Also an easy walk to Canyon Road for... More

After reading all of the glowing reviews, I frankly cannot believe that we stayed at the same place. We stayed one night and switched hotels immediately. This place looks like it was originally a budget motel that has had money put into it, but it is still, at its core, a budget motel. The Inn of the Governors is not... More

We just returned from a trip to Santa Fe and we spent 3 nights at the Inn of the Governors, and we were very satisfied with our accomodations. Our room was a Traditional King room. This is the smallest room on the property, and it is similar in size to a standard Holiday Inn, however, the decor is upgraded and... More

companion and i booked traditional room with two queen beds. room was not ready upon arrival. we were immediately upgraded to larger room with fireplace. afternoon sherry and tea was nice touch, but wish it was offered later or longer in duration so as to coincide with shopkeepers who closed doors at 5:00. four mornings in a row the breakfast... The patio room was small and dark. Great for sleeping-nice firm bed but needs better lighting during the day. The bathrooms are small, especially the tub and has little shelf space. The shower is not hand-held and needs more shelf space. The hotel leaves water in your room-a necessity in this high altitude city-but charges for each bottle. This is... More

As this was a last minute stay in Santa Fe we were very fortunate to get a room near the plaza. As it turned out this was a very fun place with comfortable beds and cute bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well. The rooms are small but it was fine for one night! The flowers and decor are... More

My mom and I stayed at the Inn of the Governors this month on a trip to Santa Fe. The inn was very clean; the rooms were cute and the beds were nice. The staff members were incredibly helpful and full of advice and answers to our questions. Great location--just a few steps away from the Plaza and museums. I... More

A gem of a spot, located well within walking distance to the Plaza and Canyon Road. We were treated royally by any and all of the concierges at the front desk, we were in a beautiful room, we had a wonderful buffet breakfast (included w/room rate) and we had a parking pass for FREE parking in the outdoor OR indoor... My husband and I recently stayed 1 night here on our way home from Yellowstone. Plus: The rooms are beautifully decorated in southwestern style. The linens and towels are of nice quality. The bathroom was nicely appointed with lovely tile, large Mexican tin mirror and other nice touches. The room was a standard size, but with plenty of space for suitcases... More

This hotel is in a great location for walking in Santa Fe. They also provide great free parking which is not ample in Santa Fe. The breakfast in the hotel is really incredible. You can have a full blown eggs and meat buffet or something lighter like fresh fruit and cereal. Very fresh and wonderful choices to choose from. Our... More
