We have stayed at many places in Santa Fe, and El Paradero ranks right up there with the best. It's in an historic building and some aspects are "quaint" (no TV in rooms, our private bath was across the hall), but the afternoon tea with delicious treats, and the exquisite breakfasts more than made up for these minor inconveniences.

The biggest criticism of this property is that the website tends to paint a better picture of it than what we found to be the case- it is a little more worn - we think some of the photos are older. The property is cute and rustic, but not upscale lodging. It is not as close to the town center... More

We are sorry you were not totally happy with your recent stay. Not sure why you feel the website is not accurate, guests are always complementing us on our website and how clearly it represents the inn. The pictures are up to date and show each room and the communal areas in great detail. We do have 2 of our... More

We had a day of personal business and pleasure activities that dictated we should spend a night in SantaFe from our home base in a nearby community. El Paradero was a fantastic place to relax and lay over for the night; attractively decorated, clean and very comfortable room; multiple sitting rooms in the old house's common area where you could... A lovely, peaceful, quaint, well maintained private B&B. I felt so relaxed the moment I stepped through the doors. The individually styled rooms are very comfortable, and (although no en-suite) each room has a private use designated bathroom next door to their living area. - Home made cake and snacks were a bonus as well as a delightful breakfast made... Thanks for your great review. We'd like to point out though that we do have 2 rooms with a private bathroom across the hall, our less expensive rooms, but the rest of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Please go to our website to check out the room that best suits your needs, as every room has it's own unique charm.... More

We had the most wonderful time staying at El Paradero recently. It is a beautiful property with cozy rooms. The breakfast is amazing. The hostess/owner is enchanting. She made all the guests feel at ease and welcomed. We will certainly come back many more times. Thank you very much for giving us such a magnificent experience.

My wife, 3-yr-old daughter, and I stayed in El Paradero's Ortiz Suite for five days in mid january and it was a wonderful experience. The day begins with breakfast in the beautiful dining room, decorated with mexican folk art. The coffee is perfect and each day a new dish greeted us... huevos rancheros, banana oatmeal pancakes. The courtyard is charming... More

El Paradero is one of my homes away from home. I try to travel to Santa Fe at least once a year and always stay at El Paradero, and it always feels like I'm coming home. The suite I stay in could not be more comfortable; it has a small kitchenette (coffee and tea provided) and even a functioning fireplace,... More

Santa Fe,s charms is authentic at the beautiful and moderately priced el paradero. We have come here for years and not just out of loyalty. We have stayed now 3 times in El Paradero over the past 1.5 yrs and really enjoy the location and the artistic charm of this old adobe B & B. It is difficult to assign an overall rating of stars accurately here because there are also a couple of reasons why we won't be back. Firstly, the beds (in all... More

We are sorry you were not completely happy during your stay. It's a little puzzling to us after you have stayed 3 times, so obviously you enjoyed your previous visits but now say that you were not happy with the beds in 3 different rooms? Also not sure what you mean by "too firm and saggy". Beds are a very... More
