The room was lovely and the breakfast was great; the service was fine and the friendliness of staff was genuine. Nevertheless I have to give 4 stars rather than 5 becuase this inn is not your typical New Mexico property. Coming from the Northeast I did not realize that this was a Victorian style property. I had hoped for an... More

I am pleased that you enjoyed so many aspects of your stay with us, though am sorry you did not realize we are a Victorian property. While the inn, built in 1886, pre-dates much of the adobe architecture in Santa Fe, it is indeed of the Queen Anne style rather than Santa Fe's more common adobe. Our website clearly describes... This was a return visit for us to Santa Fe and the hospitality of B&B Innkeeper, Carolyn and her lovely and most accommodating staff at both the Hacienda Nicholas and The Madeleine Inn. Located just a delightful short walk from the plaza at the end of a very quite tree lined street. Both locations provide beautiful courtyards in which to... More

My first time staying in Santa Fe and what a nice relaxing time it was. The Madeleine was the perfect place to stay. The Forsythia Room, the grounds, the food and the people are all very nice! There is plenty to see and do within walking distance. Several times we commented to each other how quiet it was in the room.... More

This is part of a property that includes another inn, The Nicholas, and a spa, Absolute Nirvana. I did not use the spa, but I overheard conversations and they are very complimentary. The inns are connected by a footpath. Happy hour and breakfast are served at the Nicholas. Both inns are in historic homes that retain that feel. The breakfast... More

It was a great delight to stay at the Madeleine Inn in Santa Fe. The location is amazing: you're almost on the town square, but a couple blocks from the noise and traffic. Our rooms was comfortable and airy, we loved the breakfasts which offered both hot and cold choices, plus the glass of wine offered in the evening invited... More

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. A most peaceful quite room with air conditioning. Breakfasts were outstanding.....served in the neighboring inn. We would not hesitate to stay here again...so convenient to canyon Road, the Plaza, and fine restaurants.

We stayed in the Morning Glory room this spring; the staff was welcoming and helpful when we had questions about Santa Fe. The room was spacious; the bed very comfortable - nary a noise from the quiet side street. Breakfast was very good, next door in the sister Hacienda Nicolas. Always a choice of fresh fruit, yogurt and granola. The... More

First the staff - they are superb and very helpful. Then the location - quiet but just a few blocks from downtown. Next the breakfast - wonderful and interesting food, different every day. And as it turns out the inn is on the same side of town as the Canyon Road Galleries. (Try the Tea House at the far end... More

We loved our room in the one-story Hacienda Nicholas across the little street from The Madeleine. The decorations were straight forward, not froufrou and belaboured, with simple, white adobe walls, wooden floor & beams, area rugs, good lighting, and a nice clean feel. The breakfast was serves in a lovely courtyard, and the innkeeper of 28 years knows her stuff... More

The Madelaine Inn and its neighbouring Hacienda Nicholas must be one of the top ten places to stay in Santa Fe. Unlike most hotels and motels, the rooms are large and comfy, with plenty of space to spread out for a relaxing stay. And there is a tasty breakfast in the morning, with a wine and cheese happy hour in... More
