My husband and I took an extended weekend vacation to Santa Fe and looked forward to staying at the "Bishops Lodge". Our first red flag upon arrival to this "resort" was the young lady at the front desk who appeared disinterested to say the least. The room: smelled musty, old TV, gray old carpeting, linens on the bed were thin... More

Yes, this is an old place, but that's its charm. It is very quiet, a short drive to town. The resort has 400+ acres, and they offer lots of activities. They are about to undergo an extensive remodel, but we found our room to be charming and comfortable. We arrived in the dark and it was challenging to find the... More

I booked an advance purchase 6 night stay this past August. I had booked Bishops Lodge as it looked very child friendly. We arrived (2 adult and 2 children) about 11pm due to flying internationally. Our bedroom was dirty and tired, our mattress cover didn't reach the end of the bed. The bathroom was of poor quality and the towels... More

We spent two days at Bishop's Lodge for our daughter's wedding. The property is absolutely beautiful and we could not have asked for better weather for our daughter's outdoor ceremony in the gazebo. Kristina was our contact and coordinator for the event. She was exceptionally easy to work with and very helpful. Unfortunately, the Lodge was recently sold and, unknown... More

We loved this place, in spite of the "resort fee" per person. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It was a quiet stay and the pinon fire was such a nice touch. Firewood magically appears each day just outside your door. The spa was divine. The restaurant was delicious. Bishop's Lodge is such a beautiful and tranquil property. Just a... More

The room we stayed in was pretty nice -- and I loved the art -- but the bathroom needed work. The towel rack looked like it was going to fall off the wall and the spotty painting or spot work above the tub didn't look that attractive. (Also, how about installing low-flow toilets?) The playground had a lot of trash,... More

My husband and I spent a weekend in Santa Fe and were very pleased with our stay at Bishop's Lodge. The property is beautiful, especially in the fall as the leaves are changing, and is a short 10-15 minute drive from the Plaza. Our room was clean, comfortable and cozy.

Bishop's Lodge exceeded my expectations, from the perfectly manicured grounds full of Santa Fe history and the attentive staff to the close proximity to the city. It sits in the beautiful foothills just outside downtown Santa Fe and offers all the activities we were looking for. Horseback riding through the mountains, beautiful historic grounds for hiking and a magnificently beautiful... More

Just a few minutes from the center of town, but in the rural foothills. No commercial enterprises in sight. Some of the rooms are a little tired, but the staff was quick to change our rooms when we asked. The beauty of the area and the tranquility are great, but there are many on site activities. All the staff were... More

Bishop's Lodge offer's a New Mexican sanctuary close enough to Santa Fe to explore down town, yet remote enough to escape reality. Based on the reviews I didn't have very high expectations of the room, but with the right deal ($109/ including breakfast with regular rates $275/night), I gave it a go. The room reviews are spot on- some shower... More
