Go to Santa Fe´s Historic Plaza, but stay at Silver Saddle Motel on Cerrillos Rd, old Route 66. The charming former owners, Penny and her daughter Dawn, are back and on good way re-establish this western-style pearl. All rooms are different and have names like Wyatt Earp and Willie Nelson. But to be honest, it was Willie Nelsons gardner (!)... More

This place could have been just one of those roadside motels you see all over America--bland, basic, boring, but functional for a low price. Instead, for a little more money and a lot more creativity, the owners made it into a really fun place to stay. Yes, it's still pretty basic, but the cowboy theme and little touches like the... More

I can honestly say that this hotel has been one of my favourite stays in the world. From the uniquely themed rooms to the extremely friendly staff this is one charming place to stay. It might not be the newest hotel in Santa Fe but I can say without a doubt it's the best. Dawn at reception was exceptional, from... More

This little motel was so charming, from the patchwork quilt on the bed to the vast selection of cowboy paraphernalia adorning the walls and shelves of the room and office. The rooms were very cosy and comfortable. They were very clean and the shower was good (a godsend if you've been on the road a long time). Dawn was so... More

This place is so charming! Old Rt. 66 motel decorated in true cowboy fashion with old wagons, coal carts and flowers. The rooms are small but adequate for a night or two and so much to look at. Lovingly decorated with true southwest decor. It is close to the Plaza and the Turquoise Trail. Perfect jumping off spot for exploring... More

I love this hotel and the owners, never thought I would say that about a hotel. This is the cutest place. I don't know what to say, except that I really LOVE everything about this hotel. You could not ask for more helpful or friendlier people. I will come back mainly because of Dawn and Penny. If you stay here... More

Wonderful stay at a local "mom & pop" motel in santa fe. Dawn was very helpful and polite. she recommended a great local restaurant within walking distance---Jambo Cafe. The rooms each have a different theme. I stayed in the Calamity Jane room. The room was clean, and has a small refrigerator and microwave. They offer breakfast in the office, but... More

We were very impressed with this Motel. I understand most of the rooms have theme names with a Western flair, ours did not so I named our room The John Wayne. It had everything we needed, a window in the bathroom was great for a fresh cross breeze at night. The room was clean and cozy and the bed was... More
