Our stay at the Silver Saddle was enjoyable, thanks to Penny, Marisol, Ted and the warm and spotlessly clean room. While the rooms are not luxurious, the cleanliness and the comfortable beds were wonderful. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quiet - no noise seeped in from Cerrillos Road. Penny made our stay outstanding - recommending a variety of... more

Cozy, clean, quiet, and comfortable. I expected the Cerrillos Road traffic to bother me, but once in the room, I could barely hear it. The bed was comfy. I am a pillow fiend, so I brought two of my own, but a normal person :-) could probably do just fine with those provided. The towels were not huge but were... more

We spent two nights here to sight-see and enjoy the history and architecture of Santa Fe. This motel provided a clean comfortable room with all the extras we required (parking at the door, refrigerator, microwave and internet hook up) at a very reasonable rate in a quaint southwestern setting. The location beside Jackolope was a bonus. I enjoyed walking around... more

I agree with most of the other reviewers comments. Very clean, comfortable, convenient and cheap. Staff very friendly. Great deal. Two matters detraceted from my five-star review (5-star for $50 a night!): the walls and door are paper-thin. If you are a light sleeper like me, this is tricky. I needed Tylenol PM every night. Also, the window in the... more

This was a fall-back choice when The El Rey Inn was booked up (I stayed there before). The Silver Saddle was simple, not possessed of luxuries like a hot tub, but it was better than staying at some corporate lodging where you get shoved into a box and treated with disregard. more

We read about the Silver Saddle in the Lonely planet guide book and are we ever glad we took their advise. We were on our honeymoon and really enjoyed the fun and funky little motel. The staff was great too, very friendly and gave us great advise on fun spots to visit in Santa Fe. We where able to park... more

We liked the folks and the atmosphere. The beds are very comfortable; prices are good; carpets are worn and need to be replaced; the family that own it say they just took it back last month after selling it to a neighboring business and being gone for 4 years - mother had owned it for 20 years and they now... more

Yes, it's old and a bit run down, but it is clean and comfy and for $40 a night you simply can not beat it! I liked the rooms, the decor and stucco-type walls gave it an authentic Southwest feel. The owner is great. The location is perfect. Friendly neighbors, too! I would go back for sure! more

I/We have been going to Santa Fe for the last 16 years and staying at the Saddle is part of it. It's very homey, people are friendly, location is near all convenieces, it's a historical place for Santa Fe. We have referred friends there and taken friends with us; everyone has been comfortable. It's very accomodating, price can't be beat.... more

Let's face it: the "Saddle" is an old property, run on a shoestring, and could use some repair. But, everything works, the price is hard to beat, the beds are reasonably comfortable, and as long as you wear platform clogs to elevate your feet off the carpet, you are fine. My friends and I use the "Saddle" as our base... more
