What a charming place to stay! Really enjoyed the intimacy of the Inn. Fantastic experiences connecting with all the guests at the Wine & Cheese hours. Breakfast was always top notch. Stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and never shared. Bathroom was huge and clean. Fireplace in the room rocked! Burt & Scott, Madison, WI more

What more is there to say! Our hosts, Robert and Ralph, were fabulous, the food was yummy, the room was comfortable (even with a shared bathroom) , the wine and cheese hour was a delight (and there are decent restaurants to walk to after the wine). We will go back whenever we can! more

You’ll be convinced that New Mexico is the “Land of Enchantment”, when you visit Santa Fe and stay at the historic Inn of the Turquoise Bear. Innkeepers Robert Frost and Ralph Bolton will greet you with such warmth and hospitality you’ll feel you’re distant family members. Their generous hospitality is further enhanced each evening with a complimentary wine and cheese... more

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They try to make your stay memorable. This B&B has a great communal aspect. The hot breakfast in the morning and the wine and cheese in the evening let everyone get to know each other and make some new friends. You really get the "Santa Fe" feel staying at such a historic, restored inn. more

IOTTB is extrememly easy to find, which was a plus considering this was our first visit to Santa Fe. Easy walking distance to the Plaza and various restaraunts or even to Canyon galleries if you're in good shape. Absolutely beautiful property on a tiered lot. Interesting history to the house. Property is on the local historic register. The innkeepers are... more

In over 25 years of visiting Santa Fe and staying at many different hotels and B&Bs, the Turquoise Bear provided the best experience. The hosts, historic structure, accommodations, gardens, breakfast and wine/cheese hours and other guests, and the location (plenty of free parking at the inn, which is an easy 20 minute walk to the square) combined to make our... more

My partner and I had the privilege of staying at the historic "Turquoise Bear" in Santa Fe. Once the home of Witter Bynner, poet and translator, the house was the center of Santa Fe's literary and intellectual life. The ambiance is still there. The hosts are thoughtful, caring and so much Fun. Guests are from around the globe and invariably... more

The hosts obviously enjoyed holding court with their guests each evening in the study. We always made a point to stop by for a glass of wine and a bit of conversation. Guests should keep in mind that the Inn is an historic structure, with the inherent small sinks, etc. We enjoyed the quiet, laid-back atmosphere. The grounds were beautiful... more

I have stayed this inn half a dozen times. After the first time I vowed that it would be my only residence in Santa Fe. It is warmly welcoming, remarkably furnished, and very true to the period it represents. Thus far, I have been in four different rooms and each has provided a unique setting for both work and relaxation.... more
