Where do I begin? My birthday bash meant renting four Waves bungalows for friends from San Francisco, Atlanta, Seattle and New York—in order to create a memorable and relaxing experience in my hometown of Santa Fe. It also meant booking treatments and creating a meal at their bistro. The time we spent at the Waves was amazing—other-worldly (in the most... More

We stayed a night in Hangetsu. The room was aesthetically pleasing and minimal. The special japanese toilet with a warmed seat and special settings for cleansing was not working for us. We discovered it was not plugged in! Once that was rectified, we did enjoy it. Internet did not work for us which was frustrating. Breakfast was simple--granola, almond milk,... More

What a resort. My husband and I stayed in the Luna lodging facility and it was amazing. Very authentic Japanese hot bath feel to the resort. I definitely recommend taking advantage of the hot baths and a massage. It is DEFINITELY worth every penny spent! We will MOST DEFINITELY be returning the next time we are in Santa Fe!

My wife and I spent a day at the spa--- the treatments are excellent locker rooms are fine. I would recommend getting there early in the the day to avoid seeing a lot of other people We used the communal tubs and sauna early in the day (it is clothing optional) something you should be prepared for. When we were... More

This is a gem. We read about it in the NY Times 36 Hours column and then after booking for Presidents Day weekend found out that several friends had stayed there and loved it. It is not walking distance from anything so staying there necessitates a rental car but it's a small price to pay. Rooms are small but big... More

What a wonderful way to spend some time in the mountains of New Mexico. Ten Thousand Waves is a day spa unlike anywhere else. Several different private hot tubs with sauna and beauty of the great outdoors. Communal tub also available. Not to pricey for what you get. Must have reservation

My husband and I needed a weekend getaway and decided to do something we've always wanted to do...stay at Ten Thousand Waves for a weekend instead of driving home after lunch or a spa treatment. (We live in Santa Fe). From check-in to check-out and everything in between, it was honestly one of the best "stay" experiences I've ever had.... More

Our 2 couples each got the "couples" massage experience. It was the spa experience ever! Had the most awesome, thorough assuage I have ever had! I felt like Martha massaged every muscle in my body. Really great staff and fantastic massage! Thank you !

We stayed in the Full Moon again over the July 4th Weekend for 4 nights. We had a private hot tub 3 times and it was perfect weather, warm and very relaxing. I love the Full Moon for the full kitchen, washer & dryer and the apartment style accomodations. It's in the hills just outside the city proper, quiet and... More

10,000 waves is a Japanese spa experience. The accommodations are generally comfortable and attractive. I didn't care for the bed it was awfully firm and the pillows are awful unless you're used to sleeping on very thin, very hard pillows. Unfortunately I am used to my down pillow and if I return I will bring it with me. Although, I... More
