The hotel is truly beautiful. With a great rate from Sniqueaway we had a nice, small room, which was expected. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Didn't expect how cramped the bathroom was (they can't change the room set-up because of historical regulations). The sink was in the hallway as you enter the room. The fixtures and furniture were all... More

Beautifully renovated 19th century hotel, decorated with a Franciscan monastic theme. The rooms are very small with no place to sit other than the bed. Even so, our room was comfortable and clean. The lack of space in our room was more than compensated for by the incredible lobby, which is spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. We ended every evening by... More

I liked everything about my stay except the 5 am wake up call from the trash truck outside room 106. Everything else was great.

I stayed at this hotel twice for business in a six week span. I like the simple monastic decor and the location is excellent. The rooms are small and sparse-- wouldn't be great for more than one person. But, the bathrooms are modern and clean, there's a nice flat screen in the room and the beds are quite comfortable. The... Any renovated hotel built in the 1800's will be small compared to newer hotels, but the service and personnel more than make up for it. Any question to staff and front desk did not go unanswered. They were more than accommodating. The hotel is centrally located to everything downtown. The access to major highways was easy. When I go back... More

I have an office in Santa Fe and we have lots of friends there, so we're there overnight every once in a while. We've now stayed at the St. Francis twice since the re-model, and have recommended it to three sets of friends, all of whom were happy - it's now our "go to" place for Santa Fe. The location... It should be understood that the rooms are small in a historic hotel such as this. If that is the most important things for you....there are plenty of other hotels to choose from in Santa Fe. The atmosphere within the hotel, the excellent staff and location (within walking distance of everything) are what we value. We have stayed in many... More

The room size is about 50% larger than the bed - it's so small that two people can't move around easily. There are no amenities like a coffee maker. You can hear the activity of every room around you and when anyone uses the plumbing it's enough to wake you at night. The front desk staff aren't very professional and... More

It's not easy to find a room within about a block of the plaza, for just over a hundred bucks. But you can do it at this hotel. The lobby is huge and comfortable, and recently redone. The down side is that the rooms we've stayed in here are tiny. I'm talking really small. The first room we stayed in... More

Very scenic hotel. Unique asthetic for a good value. The location is great to walk to everything you want to do in a relaxing weekend in Santa Fe. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some rooms are a little small, but everything else more than makes up for it. Happy hour in the Secreto on site is a must.
