Our room was so cozy and comfortable. I loved the bed and even the futon was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was located close enough to downtown that it didn't take us long to get there. Great room for a great price!

We arrived in heavy rain and the fire place was laid for us, so nice and comforting. The room was roomy enough for us and nicely furnished. The breakfast had a good assortment of options, from fruit to baked goods. The location was handy for an easy walk to town and to the Train section - good for getting many... More

Jakey, we were so glad to welcome you in out of the rain! It sounds like your in-room kiva fireplace made for a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for snuggling up and getting warm. And, after a good night's sleep, we've got a bountiful breakfast spread, with everything from preserves and fresh bread to our famous homemade tamales. I hope... More

This is the place to stay if you want a warm and authentic place to stay in the middle of Santa Fe. Everything is nearby and Amy will insure you find what you are looking for! The rooms while small are authentic and if you want modern - go somewhere else.....but if you do you will miss their homemade tomales... More

I can't tell you how wonderful it was to read this, Martoon! For us, authenticity is our #1 priority. As you obviously agree Santa Fe is an amazingly unique destination for US travelers. Our rich historic culture, architecture and cuisine combine together to make a very distinguishable travel adventure! Like you said, there's plenty of modern properties- hotels, motels, etc... More

Pros: Reasonable rates within walking distance of plaza (15 minutes). Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful owners. Chama furnished with firewood and cleaned daily. Historical significance. Cons: Room in desperate need of update. Old plumbing and wiring. Paint faded and stained. Bathroom needs complete makeover with small sink, extra small toilet and tiled tub.

Al, glad to hear you enjoyed our proximity to the Plaza, staff and our delicious homemade tamales for breakfast! I would like to address your comments about the bathroom. As you know, our signature charm is our historical authenticity. Our property dates back to 1860 when the main building for which you stayed was built from 2 foot thick adobe!... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at Pueblo Bonito in beautiful Santa Fe, NM on the 19th of April. It is a wonderful sample of architecture from a much different time. The Inn has had a number of purposes over the many decades of its existence. The unit that we stayed in was over 150 years old,... More

We visited Santa Fe in late April, 2015. I had asked my friends where they stayed in Santa Fe and they all mentioned hotels on the outskirts; I was looking for something with authentic flavor within walking distance of the galleries--Pueblo Bonito served to be an ideal location; close to town but a safer few blocks from the Plaza and... Susanna, I just loved reading this. Like you said, our "authentic flavor" is really what sets us apart! It's great to hear how much you enjoyed taking advantage of our proximity to the Plaza. It's certainly a wonderful perk of our location -- all those shops, museums, and restaurants are just a 7-10 minute walk away. And, like you said,... More

We just stayed one night but it was very enjoyable. Walking distance to most in-town restaurants. Just behind the capitol. Room was authentic historic NM (thick walls, kiva fireplace) and very clean with kitchenette. Nice places to sit outside. The breakfast has various breads, fruits etc but the very best are the tamales. Friendly staff. We will stay there again.

I'm so glad your short stay was a wonderful one, Audrey! As you mentioned, we're just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the historic Santa Fe plaza. You'll find lots of neat shops, museums, and restaurants, not to mention all the landmarks you'll see on your way there! Once you're back at the inn, our in-room kiva fireplaces... More

Pueblo Bonito was a terrific venue from which to experience Santa Fe. It was an historic building, charming and comfortable. The staff were especially helpful and kind, in the morning for breakfast and in giving suggestions and directions for the day, if asked. There were also nice things to purchase in the gift shop. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful home away from home! Amy, Herb and their wonderful staff treat you like family, serve you an amazing breakfast (don't miss the tamales!), and offer expert guidance on all the surrounding attractions: where to eat, where to hike, where to shop, what's really worth the travel time. While the rooms are on the small side, their Southwest... More

The Inn at Pueblo Bonito, run for nearly 30 years by Innkeepers Amy & Herb Behm, is a welcoming traditional B&B. I chose the Inn because of its history dating back to the mid-1800's, well before New Mexico became a state, & its' location-- 3 short blocks from the State Capital & 2 more beyond that to the Plaza. I... More

I loved reading your kind review, sflindad -- you totally get us! Like you said, it's really our historic authenticity and charm as well as our sincere hospitality that sets us apart from other hotels, motels and inns in town. Our 154-year-old property showcases the hand-formed adobe pueblo walls that are characteristic of New Mexico architecture from that time period,... More
