Returned for another night during a road trip and found El Rey still wonderful. Clean and quiet. Everything functioned as it should. Comfortable beds. And close to all sorts of Santa Fe attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this and will return if we're in Santa Fe again.

Spent 2 nights and was amazing. We had a fire place which they provided plenty of wood & easy starter each day. Front desk was very nice, prices very reasonable. Not our first time & not our last. Love that the rooms are different, ceilings have wood very homey feel.

Our young family of five enjoyed everything this welcoming property had to offer. We loved that the hotel made us feel like we were in New Mexico and not just anywhere in the world. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with lots on offer to keep everyone satisfied. The kids took advantage of the gardens,... More

We stayed with our three young children at the El Rey over Christmas. We have stayed at the El Rey before and it is always so enjoyable! The staff is so friendly and our room was very comfortable, clean and cozy! We look forward to our next stay!!

We stayed in one of the smaller rooms and it was cozy, but had everything we needed and enough room for us and our stuff. If you like more space, opt for one of the bigger more deluxe rooms. The lobby lounge is in the historic original building and is inviting and comfortable. The breakfast room is full of character... More

Very comfortable room. Clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. The grounds are spectacular and the staff very friendly and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered breakfast. They call it continental, but is much more than pastries and coffee.

Stayed 4 nights while visiting Santa Fe and fishing on the rivers to the north. Rooms are all slightly different, some have small living areas and big baths, others vice-versa, due to the organic nature of the property. It began as an 8 room, 8 garage hotel in the 1930s and expanded over time. It's rustic but that's the experience... More

I stayed in this motel when I was 12. That was when there weren't a lot of other hotels in Santa Fe. It's been nicely taken care of and very cute. Ask for a room with a wood burning fireplace. They'll provide you with Pinyon and it's so cousin. This isn't a luxury hotel but it's a charming old hotel... More

My 3 boys and I loved this place. Our adobe style place was huge - full size kitchen, separate dining room, lounge and 2 bedrooms (and of course a bathroom!) It was clean and quiet considering its on a main road. The grounds are beautiful. A short walk (less than 10 minutes) away is a large supermarket. The boys enjoyed... More

Great place for an authentic Route 66 experience. Large, beautifully maintained courtyard and grounds; roomy, clean accommodations; recycling efforts appreciated. You may want to stay again and again.
