According to the San Juan Islands "visitors guide" 2008. This hotels rates range from $80 to $299. According to the Hotel clerk there isn't or never was any $80 rooms. Then he quoted me that the $80 rate is for "travel agents". Then quoted us a rate of $147 plus tax, total being $184 for one nights stay! That would... more

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Hotel was terrific. Friendly staff. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. Had full kitchen and living room and separate bedroom. Hot breakfast, (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc) that is part of your rate is a great bargin. Has a nice courtyard with a hot tub! Was our first trip to... more

My husband and I had reservations at this hotel for our 13th anniversary. My parents traveled from Nevada to our home in Montana to stay with our kids while we went on our trip to the San Juan Islands. The day we were to check in to this hotel, we were called back home because my parents had to leave... more

I stayed 2 nights. Downstairs queen suite. Very spacious, all the usual amenites, big kitchen. Only neg. is you can hear guests above and adjacent to you, but many hotels have this problem. I can't say it is much worse than other better-than-average hotels, but I am extra sensitive to noises so it did bother me a little bit. Staff... more

The hotel is very dark, the rooms are tiny and need redecorating. The hotel is next door to a rest home which is next to a hospital---depressing. October is a bad month to be at Friday Harbor only 3 restaurants were open and most of the stores were closed. It rained all 3 days. We drove around the island stopping... more

I am sorry to hear of your rainy experience while on San Juan Island. October can be a little darker and colder than usual. Some folks come just to relax and enjoy the quite solitude of the island, which October is a great month to do that! Thank you for your input. We have recently remodeled our hotel, so I...

We stayed the weekend at the hotel, and found it adequate. I was a little surprised at the very small size of the "junior suite," which was a studio with a microwave & refrig. No desk or desk space, but that was OK for our stay. Unlike others who have reported that it was very noisy, we lucked out (apparently.)... more

Thank you for giving us feedback on your stay. The Queen Studio (not a suite) is our smallest room, which we only have 2 of. They do have a kitchenette, pillow top mattress, sliding door to a private patio and 27" television. They are quite nice, yet small. I would suggest on your next stay to reserve a Queen Suite,...

Stayed at hotel for one night while touring island. Entering the hotel, it had a stale, unpleasant, musty odor. First, beware that a Queen Junior Suite is very, very small. We made the mistake of asking for a promotional rate since we were exploring the island and only staying one night. This resulted in the room we were assigned (on... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night after sightseeing around the island. The only room they had left was a King Suite. Overall, it wasn't a terrible place. The suite was big with a little kitchenette and 2 rooms. The walls are very thin, tho. I could hear the neighbors talking and the people walking around upstairs. Being... more

The only place that is air-conditioned in the hotel is the meeting rooms (and maybe the lobby, I forget.). The first meeting room we had was still too warm, but they graciously let us use the larger conference room. Internet access, which was important for us, was good. But, like I say, there is NO air-conditioners in the rooms --... more
