This place is a true gem! Although campsites are not very private- the property itself is in an ideal location. Our campsite was steps away from ocean views, and we were fortunate to see several orcas (mom & new babies!!) within an hour of our arrival!! Also, we were able to go on a kayak tour right from the campground... More

We really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights. The view is beautiful. I highly recommend reservations as there is around 20 sites. Great beach to take your kayak out. No showers, but flushing toilets (woohoo!) Its a very basic campground .. no thrills or entertainment. It was exactly what we were looking for; quiet, beauty and relaxation. I would defiantly... The water is steps away from your campsite here and you can look across and see Vancouver Island. You can watch the sunset and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. No showers here, though there is running water and flush toilets, so you can get a combination of the outdoors with a few amenities. Thank you to the... More

San Juan County Park is located on the Westside of San Juan Island overlooking Haro straight and Vancouver Island, Canada to the West. With 12 acres and 20 campsites it has become a popular spot for car campers, bikers, and kayakers to camp and picnic. Campsites are around $20 per night and reservations are recommended: http://www.sanjuanco.com. It is crowded during... More

San Juan County Park is a small campground with 25 spots that you have to set your alarm for midnight in March to book for a summer holiday. I tried many nights to do so and was not successful, but as luck would have it landed 2 nights that someone cancelled out on in June. I was there last week.... More

The park facilities are basic. No showers but the best camping the most beautiful views around. The orcas swim right by your campsite you can't beat it. This is one of my favorite places to camp. I have thing camping there once or twice a year for the past 10 years.

Our family stayed here for two nights in July 2013. We booked as early as the website allowed and stayed in site #20. The site did not provide privacy, but we enjoyed being able to see the water from our site. On our second night while sitting around the fire we saw orca swimming by far off shore. People in... I love this campground! San Juan county park is located on the west side of the island, maybe 10 minute drive from Friday Harbor. It's sort of on the small side with only 15 or so camp sites, but in my mind that makes it more appealing. Reserve early online. Amazing views from this place. It's located right on small... More
