After a year of planning our daughters wedding, my husband and I decided we needed a quiet getaway. After searching the internet I came across the Lakedale Resort. I was looking for a place to sit and watch the world go by and this beautiful place suited every bit of my criteria. From the peaceful lake to the kind staff... More

My husband and I just returned from two nights at Lakedale this weekend. It's a beautiful spot and very peaceful there on the lake. We stayed in one of the lodge rooms on the ground level. They are nice large rooms with a fireplace and huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and they've got decks (shared with neighboring guests) that... More

We've camped here a couple of times and stayed in the large canvas cabin. We love it here! Fun activities, good location to start exploring the island, very good toilet/shower facilities for a campground, and quiet! We recommend this place to everyone. The camping is reasonably priced. I'd recommend that the rates drop more in May/June and September when the... More

There is nothing I love more than complete quiet and tranquility. That is the entire essence of Lakedale. It's a slice of heaven. The air is clear and fresh. You can have that nice outdoor feeling of camping but you also can have the inside comfort of big squooshy beds with comfortors made out of clouds. So my husband can... More

I reserved a canvas cabin for two nights in mid-September as part of my 5-day trip that started on Lopez Island. I caught a cold the day before we left, but went anyway, hoping the cold would be mild. On Lopez we stayed at a B&B and I coughed and sneezed all three nights. I was not getting better. I... More

The main lodge is a classic and stunning Adirondack-style lodge overlooking a large lake. All rooms are very nice, have very luxorious bathrooms and have a patio or porch that opens on to the lake with a gorgeous view. They serve a cold buffet breakfast which had plenty of options and was more than adequate. Other lodging options include fully... More

We spent 3 nights at the Lakedale resort in a glamorous platform tent on the shores of a beautiful lake. The tent was more than comfortable with a queen bed and double futon, table and chairs, lots of hooks for hanging clothes, backpacks, and towels. The tent kept us dry in the rain and let the breezes blow on the... More

This was the most expensive room of our trip, so we were expecting plush bedding, good food, great service. Welcome to Hampton Inn San Juan. The breakfast is a dead ringer for The spread at Hampton Inn- and both mornings at 9-9:15am the fruit bowl and coffee cake plate were all but empty. The did put out more fruit when... More

I brought a group to kayak around San Juan Island. The Canvas Cabins were a great way to get in the mood for our adventure. The cabins are clean and comfortable with a fire ring and patio-type chairs outside the entryway; and a plush bed, couch and dining table set inside. We purchased firewood at the camp store to make... More

We camped on one of the sites by the lake which was awesome. They had boat rentals for a decent price. Toilets were not super neat but much better than what you'd find in a state park. The coin-operated showers were good enough for a warm bath.
