My wife and I have stayed at the Plaza several times over the years and have always had a nice experience. We are from San Antonio and look to the Plaza as a in town get away. On this trip we had a Wonderful and Relaxing weekend lounging around the pool. The staff was exceedingly helpful and the food excellent. more

Close to the riverwalk and space needle. A real bargain compaired to the prices of the Riverwalk hotels. Great service and a nice pool and courtyard area. more

I recently attended a military conference at this hotel. Although it was business, it felt as a vacation at the end of the work day. The hotel is located in a prime location within walking distance to great restaurants, the famous "Riverwalk", and the Alamo. There are lots of shops in the area as well. The service at the hotel... more

The ambience of this resort style hotel in the middle of the city was unexpected. The front desk staff were relaxed and friendly. The decorating was uptodate and the beds great as Marriott usual. I would definitely return and recommend to others. more

I have been staying at this hotel since 1981 when it was a Four Seasons. Later on Marriott came in as the new owners. Being used to staying in Four Season, I was fearful at first that my normal experience there might change, but I was wonderfully surprised. Everything was kept the same. All rooms are very large and the... more

This hotel is more like a resort than a downtown hotel. The tree shaded pool, the peacocks and pheasants in the backyard and the fantastic workout room all make it a must stay place. Little touches like complimentary fruit in the workout room and coffee all morning were nice. We couldn't have been happier. more

I travel to San Antonio every year for a large international conference and have stayed in a variety of hotels in the last five years. This one is the best so far. The staff were welcoming and helpful and always polite. The rooms are very spacious and my room had a balcony overlooking the convention centre and the Tower of... more

My wife was on a business trip but we combined it and took our grandaughter and had a wonderful week, visiting SeaWorld, The Alamo (only a $1.10 using the Red-Line Trolley), and the RiverCenter and RiverWalk (We visited the Marketplace on an earlier trip using the trolley buses or walking for the exercise)! The access to the highways (37,35,281,US 10)... more

This is a great hotel that truly fits the atmosphere of staying in San Antonio. It is very near the heart of down town and all of the locations to visit are within a quick walk, such as RiverCenter, the river walk, the Tower, the Alamo and historic sites and all the great restaurants. The staff is enjoyable to work... more

There are three Marriott hotels on or near the Riverwalk in San Antonio. We travel to San Antonio often and have had our best stays at the Marriott Plaza. The service is top notch! If you are bringing children, request a balcony room viewing the courtyard. They keep beautiful peacocks that walk the grounds. The decor is in touch with... more
